Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey folks,

Just found out today that my broadband had been activated early. The reason I post this is that I spent a long time agonising over what product to go for! I think I made the right choice!
Anyway, I plugged the wireless router (incorporating firewall and adsl modem) into my Dabs value (!) 10/100 Network card and I was off

Al you need to know (for eircom.net) is to set the VCI to 8 and the VPI to 35 and pick the PPPoE option and you're away!

So that was set up in literally 2minutes.

Then the wireless card in my other PC, A linksys 54g PCI card was installed with no fuss, the only problem being that the linksys setup for that didnt seem to want to work!

Anyway - wireless was then set up with WEP security etc in a matter or minutes.

All in all Im well chuffed - a deffo recomendation for those looking for similar :)
