Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That all came from Haley stupidly kicking the ball away on the half way line.

Munster playing this extra man time terribly.

Starting with wytcherlys in at the side pen

They are doing far too much kicking in my opinion, have they gone wide at any stage?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

That's why Conor Murray is so valuable and he's still in the Ireland squad. Dropped a box kick on a penny outside the 22 leading to a massive penalty.

If that was JJ people would be calling him a choker :D:D:D

I didn't know Gallagher was on the field until commentary mentioned him after half time. Not sure he has featured since or if he's still on the park.

I didn't see Conway touch the ball in the first half until he had that kick down the short side near the end of the half.

It's a massive advantage having a twice Lions tourist to come on as a sub with 20 minutes to go

A great kick. But we need more than just that for an international 9. He's not done yet...he's still our best 9, but not by as much as before.

In fairness to him, his striking of the ball has been exceptional. Every kick has been as clean and pure a strike as he could want.

What people won't mention is that he has brought next to nothing in general play. He's a very good runner of the ball and is probably trying to just follow the plan but his distribution has been very one dimensional.

What a stupid penalty to give away

In his defense I don't think our gameplan is to be anything but one dimensional, get possession, keep it tight, kick, rinse and repeat.

    Infuriating. Owens gave ample warnings.

He should have been done for diving off his feet at the breakdown after the lineout steal.

Clear knock on there at the lineout.

"Where did everyone go"... Salanoa probably!

Sense of inevitably. Very representative of the game. Edinburgh needed to compete on that throw. Munster won't be stopped by them once the ball is in their hands from that range!

Edinburgh a mile offside at restart.

Nige is such a good ref, he knew Munster would keep it tight for the clock and just called the knock on

Worried about Ben Healys upright tackling he had a few head jerks tonight...

A second late late show in a row but 8 good points.

2 wins out of 2, we'd all have taken that 10 days ago.

CJ's pickup under serious pressure saved us there.

Looked like Edinburgh might have been due a penalty from that scrum if it was in there any longer.

Cockerill is going to be feeling the pressure now. 4 losses on the trot including 3 at home in a row before tonight. They're in big trouble.

That was gas craic. Great win. Where did this Salamander guy come from?

    Did Crowley get any game

Very good result. With those lineups you could easily forecast an away win tonight.

Healy needs to show more in possession, DDA at 12 would help on that front. However the kicking, both from hand and the tee, is fantastic.

Would agree but thought they went early so should have been a Munster free kick. Owens just wanted the game over and wasn't going to give anything there.

4 tries in 2 games and over 20 different starters, late late shows both games but I'd prefer to win late than lose after leading for most of the game.

Who got Munster's try - only able to watch score on PP?

Would agree when it comes to line kicking. Put some crackers in tonight. Accurate and great length. Kicking from hand in open play isn't too hot. I think he put in 3 or 4 up and unders tonight and none were contestable. Gave Edinburgh simple exits and possession.

Definitely needs more game time and has earned it. There's no game against bottom half opposition that he shouldn't be starting.

Yeah, fair. The composure will (hopefully!) come with games.

Hard to know. John Hayes got over 100 Irish caps and still looked like a boy amongst men.

    CC gets the CJ.
