Is the Boys from Brazil in reference to the alleged extra curricular activities of Irish Patriot Niall McConnell ??

    Nah, this book/film:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Boys_from_Brazil_(film)

It's about Mengele cloning Hitler. It's actually great.
Mengele, in the 1960s, had secluded several surrogate mothers in a Brazilian clinic and implanted them with zygotes each carrying a sample of Adolf Hitler's DNA preserved since the Second World War. 94 clones of Hitler had then been born and sent to different parts of the world for adoption. In the hopes that one or more of the boys will turn out like the original Hitler, Mengele has arranged for all of them to be placed with foster parents similar to Hitler's own, and is assassinating their foster fathers at the same age at which Hitler's own died.

An orange member, a UVF member and leading participant in the Belfast City Hall flag protests. He was in a band that would play songs glorifying Michael Stone.

    He's associated with Willie Frazier.

That is the man leading these far right goons who call themselves nationalists. There were a ton of loyalists from up North in Dublin on the weekend.

They are linked with Nigel Farage who seems to puppetering anti EU sentiment. They want Ireland out of the EU so they can run Ireland like their own little fiefdom like in the good ol days.

That's interesting. So both the Far Right and Far Left have connections to terrorist organisations. FS, god help the Gardai

Of course yes, put them in there cos you vote for someone else but not based on any shred of evidence.

Shiit Fein? Really, is this the level of debate on here now?

The crazy thing is the far right have connections with terrorists intent on destroying the Irish state and they call themselves Patriots. The level of disconnect is unreal.

The whole thing is comical. Lead by a UVF terrorist, a mentally ill South Dublin woman and a closeted Donegal farmer. A mob of unwashed, drug addled lunatics who have such low self esteem that they desperately want to believe that being of a certain race or creed makes them superior.

They mob an elderly woman and beat her but when they faced off against the Republicans on Saturday they went running like the cowards that they are.

Unsuprisingly, eejits who go around swinging their handbags in the street have aspirations to more grown up forms of extremism.

Ex member of SF and the Ra having a right ol laugh at these lads over on everyones favourite reactionary website gript.ie

So let’s nail all this bull**** about ‘No Pasaran’ and all the crap about being part of some mythical “anti-fascist” Dublin working class history. If there was a threat of a coup orchestrated by the Blueshirts, then it was the Fianna Fáil government which faced it down, not the tiny far left.

And let’s have some real history as opposed to myths. In 1940, eighty years ago when the German armies in Europe came within an ace of victory, the political antecedents of the groups who comprise ‘Anti Facist Action’ were all on the same side as the Nazis.

The oldtimey Stalinists, still represented by the pathetic old Communist Party were cheerleading the Stalin/Hitler pact, and their mothership in Britain was organising strikes and sabotage against the war effort. The May 1940 issue of the Communist Party of Ireland newspaper celebrated the defeat of the British by the Germans in Norway.

Interestingly enough, you'll can see the Communisty Party of Ireland flag knocking around in the videos of these counter protests. Presumably Hitler is very bad but Stalin is alright :D

    Loons to a man.

All I can see are a few dozen of the biggest losers this country has to offer.

This guy for example was front and centre. In the brown coat.

I've had the misfortune to read one of Matt Treacy's self-published books as it was relevant to something I was researching - full of spelling mistakes and basic errors. It doesn't say much for Mr McGuirk that this is the kind of contributor he's drawing upon.

Remove the fascists and the antifascists will automatically stop.

If you can't remove the fascists, well just keep in mind where that leads. Hitler was democratically and legally elected into power, after all.

Just because your not a devotee of left wing ideology doesn't make you a Fascist. What happens when you remove the far left? Should we ask the people of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia etc? The lads in the hats I guess this is Antifa too?

Matt Treacy was always a boring old reactionary. I was involved in Republican politics since I was a teen, and while I met many conservative rural Irish Republican types who had little time for socialism even they thought Matt was a pain in the hole.

Funnily enough I was in Dublin a couple of years ago and bumped into him on the street and he was cordial in person but he’s gone bonkers on the auld alt right stuff nowadays.

Not really, even if that had actually happened outside of your imagination I'd find it quite funny :D

Ideally the gardai should put all the headbangers in a handball alley and let them at it far, far from normal people going about their business

the far right in ireland are no more than nine guys who meet in a shed once per month

they represent no threat on any level to this country , none

im conscious of the fact that a sizeable number of charlatans , hacks and salary drawing " ism " hustlers need the " far right " bogeyman to either remain somewhat relevant or earn a living

its a phoney war they are waging

Mick Clifford put the nonsense narrative somewhat in its place over the weekend , hes getting accused of being a fascist sympathiser on twitter as a result

    ...
But if you scratch blow the surface of these groups you will find that in the main they are looking to achieve a marxist/socialist society where the community you are attributed to, (white people/black people etc...) needs outweighs that of your own individual/families needs. we've seen it before in russia, china, cuba, where ever socialism has been tried. at its core is turning families against each other for the "greater good"
    ...

I think a small subset of people who are anti fascists would have that agenda, but not anywhere near the majority. Otherwise they'd be called the socialists, and there's far less support for that.

Sorry I have no clue of the point you're trying to make - please clarify.

They're anti-fascists not "leftists", if they were just "leftists" they'd have far less support.

And yet they can bring dublin city to a standstill whenever they feel like it.

I think you are hugely underestimating the amount of racists in this country, but at least we have enough anti-racists to generate a counter-protest...

racist has become a broader term by the week and of course its the left who get to define it

the vast vast majority of people who showed up at those anti mask protests had no interest in the tenets of fascism , i suspect less than fifty are card carrying jackboot wearing mussolini fans

the likes of mark malone and leah doherty would have us believe that any opposition to immigration or the asylum process is " racist "

colm o gorman smacked down a fellow panelist on newstalk a while back for saying we have had no dail debate on the topic of immigration in the past twenty years , o Gorman claimed it would be a " dog whistle "

the left police what people can say in this country on various subjects

Yes, thats true - however I would say "vigilantes" such as anti-racists are actually "moderates".

If you're not anti-racist, what are you, pro-racist?

By your logic the anti-bullying campaign in schools should be abandoned because its extremely against pro-bullies, they should replace it with a "let's sit on the fence vs bullying" campaign.

I think most people overlook the fact that many of those who attend are doing so believing that they are at an anti mask/ anti paedo / take back Ireland etc.. There are most people who haven't even done a cursory google search for who Justin Barrett etc... is.

These marches, as many others do (look at all the PbP astroturf ones pretending to be about cutting fees or water charges) attract people on a single (often reasonable) issue in an attempt to indoctrinate them into a political viewpoint down the road.

A lot of water charges protestors did not mean Ireland is full of socialists, a lot of anti mask protestors does not mean Ireland is full of racists.

Both however do mean Ireland is full of gullible people...

North Korea has " democratic " in its official title , so too had East Germany

apparently if " anti fascist " is in the title of an org , it must be all sunshine and lolipops and opposed to things which are not nice

its all in the back of my sons Ann and Barry book
