I have no idea what Mattie is saying but it sounds good! The passion.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,660 ✭✭✭Floppybits

Mattie is getting really wound up now. He had real go at Martin there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,660 ✭✭✭Floppybits

Catherine Connolly now. She is usually very good.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,432 ✭✭✭Cluedo Monopoly

This is priceless stuff! Call an election now! :D

Catherine Connolly is twice the TD than anyone in FFG. One of the best in the Dail.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,432 ✭✭✭Cluedo Monopoly

Is Martin not in the Dail chamber??

    That's cowardly.

No only a couple of FFers in the Dail, Norma Foley and Jack Chambers from what I can see. Not a Green to the be seen.

    Questions now.

"Long standing practice by other ministers of justice"....oh dear

She has only got a 1 line answer for every question. Madness!

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Normal people would consider people dying as a top priority and everything else is irrelevant. Would you not think? is life not more important?

Maybe they should address the nation using quotes from 'Mean Girls' to win a bet for a laugh?

Murphy on point too about where our judiciary come from..the FG FF class. Political appointees.

I think he has more in common with them than most FG FF class with his private school background.

"Long standing practice by other ministers of justice"....oh dear

    Repeated ad nauseam

Maybe she's one of the bots Leo was referring to.

    A great idea.

PUBLIC: Why are we having an election in the middle of a pandemic

OPPOSITION: Because we didn't like a judge

PUBLIC: Say what? We are risking ourselves gathering to vote because you didn't like a judge????

    OPPOSITION: Yes

PUBLIC: And you want our vote now?

So she had a chat with colleagues, Varadkar said 'Woulfe would make a good judge' then decided she liked the cut of Woulfe's jib and put his name forward on her own decision... Sounds legit ;)

It was in jest. Mattie had me aroused :D

Oh no, I don't want an election now. No no. Time enough for that, I am really enjoying this coalition ;)

Some judges must be furious about what they are hearing.

Ah sure it is all sorted now she said that Leo said Woulfe would make a good supreme court judge.

That is about the size of it. Leo decided. Informally. :)

Just like the VoNC the damage has been done by that revelation.

The nod and wink culture that has been allowed develop in the 100 years of the power swap.

So what are the alternatives to direct provision? Have various parties outlined these new policies they wish to implement?

We learnt nothing new in that debate
My colleagues heard me listening to the rest of that on the phone and weren't the least bit interested
    They were laughing at me
    I blame you lot :D

Btw,if you ever want to catch a debate again, the handiest way to get it on the phone is oireachtas tv on twitter, they stream it live

I really enjoyed it. Some great performances. The damage was done long long before the Q&A.

If you follow political debates in the Dáil the discomfort was obvious, right down to Simon Harris twisting and turning in the background. Great to see.

Doubt it, would say they are all doing impressions now of the muppets shouting and roaring.

Colm Brophy magnificently tying himself in hoops on Drivetime. Keeps walking into haymakers.

Brophy and Barry Ward hopping through hoops to save McEntee's neck.
FFS Ward didn't even know Woulfe was a FG activist.

Of course it achieved nothing. Nobody is interested either, as I said a number of times shouting and roaring from SF and the rest grew tiresome months ago. Now its just noise

Who are you trying to convince? the only poster who made any sense said it was a complete waste of time. Like everything the opposition has done of late.
