Francie, you keep saying that I am trying to “derail” threads.

You accuse me of ‘decrying ’ moderation on radio programmes.

Guilty m’lud, as charged- that’s my opinion.

    Listen to the programme.

As I said before, the person who fly tips rubbish has not credibility campaigning against others who do the same thing.

It’s a discussion Francie, if you have a dog in the fight, you have to expect he will get attacked

You can’t attack a party for doing one thing on one thread and defend another party for the same thing on another thread.

    Totally ridiculous.

    Who did I attack?

I never 'attack' on foot of allegations brendi. That is the fiefdom of others here.

I merely assumed that this was trouble for The greens (as it would be for any other party) and asked about actions taken.

Instead of addressing that you pointed at another party.

Zero accountability in this country it seems. Sure they'll check your social welfare entitlements if you're flying to another country but run one of the biggest projects with highest overspend and you don't even have to produce meeting minutes.

So you think they shouldn't check social welfare?

Not sure how you connect the children hospital and social welfare fraud

The difference in the discretion that is allowed with some involved with government contracts is a startling contrast to the authoritarian style monitoring of those less well off in society.

These lads think that checking on social welfare is akin to serious crime, King.

That anyone who tries to shine a light on abuse of taxpayers money is some kind of quisling.

    Just marking your card, kohsan.

if Twitter is blocking posts from politicians that are open and clear lies...then why are any of this government's posts allowed to be read? Are the government and its so called health experts not lying when they claim, contrary to all medical evidence and reports, that children can not spread Covid-19? Is that not an obvious lie?

‘Telling lies’ the auld reliable of the Bullhorn Brigade.

Wouldn’t put too much credence on that rubbish.

One knows where one stands when one hears that rhetoric.

I'd love to also see a journal fact check on Varadkar's defences.

Interesting to see that the majority in a poll don’t agree with the motion of no confidence. https://www.thejournal.ie/poll-no-confidence-varadkar-5258721-Nov2020/

Not sure how you can talk about corrupt politicians with a straight face when you are clearly pro-SF.

Throwing out the current government would clearly be "out of the frying pan and into the fire".So far "the best opposition ever" hasn't really happened has it? One week it is a FG/FF story in the press, the next week it is SF.

At the cost of millions for another election what exactly would the benefit be of sticking in another group of incompetent crooks?

None of them are in a position to throw muck at the other. S.F. only gave the Covid money back when Nolan exposed them.

That's the biggest issue I see, the tax payer will pay millions for a general election to get what? another bunch of idiots to replace the current bunch we have in place?

Based on the posts here would would think the opposition are incredible and squeaky clean. They are far from that and in reality are no better if not worse than FF/FG. The only ones that seem anyway decent are the parties which are too small to do anything about it.

Different jurisdiction and those involved were fired. What has happened to Varadkar?

Fired after being found out. They were aware for months that they shouldnt have the money. Accepting money given to you in error is a crime.
Varadkar is not guilty of a crime but regardless of the waste of time no confidence motion he is damaged.

Yep, that's usually how these things go, labour court doesn't look kindly on employers firing people until they have a very good reason.

So if they hadnt been found out it would be grand for them to toddle along 10 grand the better.

Of course not, that's why they were made resign when they were exposed.

It's not that difficult a concept to understand tbh.

They were caught with saying nothing about money they got sent to them in error, when it came out they were made resign, what else do you think should happen to them?

I don't think resigning a second time is an option open to them.

So Alan Farrell makes a video telling us that electric scooters are illegal and then he goes and breaks the law by riding one. Even more law breaking by the law and order party, #notanormalparty

Do any of you actually understand what a government is for? because the video and discussion is 100% exactly what the government should be discussing. Do you think think?

Not sure what the hashtag is about, you do realize this is twitter.

King.... you are relatively new here.....let me mark your card.

As most see it ,it’s a mud slinging exercise against the Govt ..no discussion, just keep horsing the negativity ‘up on the board’ and hope some sticks.

Doesn’t have to make any sense, or reasoning, or proof, or economic sense.

You will get the hang of it fairly soon when the lads wake up.

Im no fan of the current regime. Let's get that straight. But the topic of electric scooters is an important one and should be discussed by the government.

Well at least they paid it back, it will be a cold day in hell before Darragh Murphy pays back what he took.

Look FF, FG and SF are as bad as each other, you can bet that there is a lot of dodgy stuff going on with people claiming money they shouldn't and only when they are caught do they put there hands up. There should really be a zero tolerance on this carry on and any TD's found to scamming the system or what ever you want to call it should lose their seats simple as that and it should be made clear to them all that this will be the consequences if they are found to be doing these sort of things. At the moment this "mea culpa" excuse has gone too far.
