    Hey guys.

I have Sony AF9 I got from you in June last yea that I’m having an issue with. I was wondering if you could help.

So basically what’s happening is on the entire left of the screen and a big chunk of the centre I keep getting these large marks when the screen turns totally black. It’s particularly noticeble on any UHD content and I’ve had it on Netflix via an Apple TV and from a Sony UHD player also.

At first glance it does look like screen burn in. But the thing is if I’m watching non 4K just regular content it doesn’t appear. I bought a round of new HDMI cables to rule that out but no joy.

Unfortunately the nature of the problem means it’s impossible to take a photo of it. My camera can’t focus on the black image to highlight the white sploges. (I tried!)

I found that it seems to be related to the gamma setting on the TV, and adjusting that up and down seems to make it appear a bit less or a bit more. But it’s at its worst at the TV’s default setting.

Have you come across this before? And can you advise me on anything I can try? I’ve tried new cables, the pixel shift thing and obviously just rebooting the tv and updating the software.

    Thanks.

    Hey Xithus.

Sorry to Hear you are having issue with your AF9.

I'm not sure of what the issue could be myself but I will pass this over to our repair team and get an call out for an engineer arranged for you.

If you could drop me your full name and address in a PM so I can locate your sale on our system I will get the ball rolling for you.

Repair are a little slower at the moment with the current COVID situation.

    Kenny.
