GPRN Number

I have recently moved into a new house and the previous owner hasnt supplied me with the GPRN. Could you supply it to me?

Thank you for getting in touch. 

For security purposes, the GPRN can just be provided to the account holder, so our colleagues can only provide the GPRN if you register at the property with Electric Ireland. If you are looking to register with Electric Ireland and you call 1850 305 090 to register, our colleagues may be able to find the GPRN on the system. We recommend having the serial number to hand. 

Do you know if Electric Ireland is the supplier? It may not possible to find the GPRN if the supply is with another company. As such, we recommend trying to get the GPRN from the previous owner or the auctioneer if you bought the property. 

Ideally, we recommend signing up online if you can. Electric Ireland currently have some great online-only offers available. Customers signing up for both gas and electricity can avail of a Welcome Bonus of €350, with a savings of 8.5%.

If you are unable to find the GPRN and have to sign up over the phone, please explain this to our colleagues as they not have the same discount available over the phone.

Thanks we have tried to get it off the previous owners with no luck. Is there a registration body that I can go to get the number?

Thank you for getting back to us. 

Gas Networks Ireland maintain the gas network for all gas suppliers. However, they can just supply the GPRN to the person registered at the property. 

Was there an auctioneer involved in the sale? They might be able to help. 

We recommend contacting your intended supplier with the serial number,  and they may be able to locate the GPRN on their system and register you.
