    Another alternative to keep in mind if you don't like hotspotting (due to mobile battery draining a bit quicker when in use) but want music, is to use the bluetooth as audio source from the phone.. most music app allow you to play without screen on..

    That being said, I still prefer hotspotting as I have better control on screen in the car if I want to change songs etc.
