What about the building sites, is there anything concrete on the building sites yet?
I believe that they are pouring over the details as we speak .....

I know it is not going to happen but I am just hoping they allow appointments for screening and treatments

    Meanwhile those in leadership positions...

You couldnt make it up.. Garda attends media briefing while waiting result of covid test.

    Mindboggling...

Given the importance of hygiene, why is a haircut not considered an essential service?

Ask the guy with long hair.

You can wash your hair.... You know that, right?
A haircut is still necessary for hygiene. Furthermore, there is the issue of head-lice.

I was mocked on here for suggesting we would go back into lockdown around 6 weeks ago I was proved right unfortunately.

So now your crystal ball says lockdown for 6 months.

Amongst the claims from that sort was "We are NEVER going into another lockdown" and ridiculing many worried posters.

And that Cork people were better Than the rest of the country with masks and fighting covid

The whole point of what he was saying was they never explained why level 2 to level 5 in the space of a few days.

And the government had no time to prepare for level 5.

He never said level 5 will never happen.

Were they were saying that they could not be afford. Until the circuit breaker piece it was a no go. Especially for 4 weeks.

They'll be laying out a new plan for construction shortly, the window of oppertunity is closing.

Mr. ACE told us of the superiority of Cork compliance!

Another tactic if you disagreed with him was 'send me a personal message'. Who does he think he is, the CMO??

And threatening to leave the country if the army were employed. The ego! The last person I heard threatening that was Ray D'Arcy, if Enda Kenny ever became Taoiseach. And we all know he's still around.

So the PUP is going back up to 350 and wage subsidy being increased too?

This is such a joke. It's so unfair to the working people.

Are you having a laugh? My husband is about to be out of work, I’m on illness benefit of €159 and we have a mortgage to pay and a daughter to get through college.
We haven’t asked for this and neither have any of the people about to lose their jobs. Just be glad you still have one.

The business owners must be laughing their holes off, raking it in, rates freezes, VAT cuts, staff paid for by taxpayer, PUP etc

This is such a joke. It's so unfair to the working people.

Then quit your job and start up a business....... Let us know how you get on.

I see you've gone pretty quiet since the swab numbers came out. I've updated the earlier graph for you.

Also on the 7 day numbers:

    Monday 12th: 5185 (up 59.7%)
    Monday 19th: 8161 (up 57.4%)

    529858.png

Still plenty of room here for this to go Pete Tong; look at how the month started out.

But there's a trend now with a foothold. Given that it has no reason not to (the entire country is under restrictions), it should hopefully continue.

How does this conflate with the 5,7 and 14 day averages all shooting up?

    5-day average: 1159

    7-day average: 1100.1
    (Previous 7 days: 688.1)

    14-day cases/100k: 262.9
    (7 days ago: 168.3)

This seems like a graph to show a positive with no actual proof to back it up

Only if they cement the relationship with nphet.
