Any need for posts like this ??

You don't like what someone posts, thats grand call out the post, but your getting personal here.

People of both sides of the argument make their points that's what makes a decent balanced discussion and debate on here.

Your just having a go at someone.

I dont want to get into back seat modding here far from it but this thread is descending into a I told you so, he said, she said blame game.

If we go down this route, we will have another lock down in either January / February / March of next year. We seriously cant afford another lock down

If that was the case we would have been at level 5 two weeks ago.

You'd think with all this power they have, they would have locked diwn 2 weeks ago.

I could reply how I want to this but I won't risk a ban.

I agree with some of his posts and disagree with others.

Its called having an opinion, have you anything to add except wanting to have a go at people?

Tony can have his whiskey and cigar tonight

    He got his wish

Country and lives destroyed for decades

I am sure he will be looking after his wife and making sure she is okay. Again it is the government who is making this decisions. I bet you were celebrating the government for sticking it to him 2 weeks ago. They make the decisions.

Where is the evidence that non essential retail is the cause of spread and thus need to be closed?

The reason for closing non essential retail is to cut down the amount of shopping trips people make, out, get what you need and go home.

Their question was where is the evidence. There is a serious question over closing down business and thousands of jobs for something that has not been called out as a source of concern in transmission leading to the higher cases.

We can't afford this one either

Level 4 for six weeks would cost over a billion according to the Irish Times

Level 5 will cost more on top of that

Our schools are being kept open. Which means Wales will have greater success in one-third of the time.

It better not be a blanket 350 again.

Too many gob****es were getting that and didn't deserve it

Listening to rte there sounds like Wednesday night into Thursday so 00.01 Thursday is my guess

I've added plenty. Can get missed as I'm not a self proclaimed expert on here 24/7.

I see you've gone pretty quiet since the swab numbers came out. I've updated the earlier graph for you.

    I haven't Seamus I assure you.

But what part of tracing has collapsed and the headline figures are no longer accurate confuses you?

No one believes Level 3 is working or will work, time to give it up.

The cabinet have moved on, Harris confirmed it yesterday.
It's clear now that the virus exists at such a level in all our community, a county by county approach would not be sufficient. So tomorrow we will have to bring in more restrictions. Level 3 has not worked

Every single indicator shows a rapid deterioration of the virus in the community compounded by the fact that we can no longer adequately trace it.

You fúcking around with MS Graphs pretending to be NPHET Lite doesn't change reality.

    We'll see about that

I can see the unions and teachers working in level 5

Certainly gonna be hard to sell it when cases are reaching their peak.

The sheep will think level 5 is working in 5 days.

    Disgusting

While the other side will look at it in 5 days and say look its not working. If anyone looks at this on a one day basis they are idiots. It will take 2 weeks at least to see

  • Registered Users Posts: 745 ✭✭✭Dayor Knight

    People are hilarious

'if only we listened to NPHET two weeks ago we'd be nearly over this'

Well we'd be ahead of where we are now anyway. Two weeks wasted, and the
    virus isn't hanging around.

I'm not sure how you arrived at that. The average industrial wage here is a damn sight higher than €350 a week.

Level 5 on a Sunday night, no its too short notice. 2 weeks later, level 5 now. OK Tony.
