Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

I have a MacBook Pro 8,1 (bought mid 2011) and recently the keyboard has stopped working. Not all buttons have stopped, the numbers along the top are still working. Currently using a Bluetooth keyboard to do anything with the laptop.

Can anyone give me a ballpark figure to fix this problem or should i just take the hit and buy a new laptop?

    Thanks in advance

    2011 is very old...

You could try replacing the keyboard and checking if that makes a difference.

You can probably find the part on eBay

It seems to me that really replacing the keyboard on your device can play a key role and restore functionality. If I understood you correctly, you have Apple MacBook Pro (17-inch, Late 2011) and here is user manual for this model http://apple.manymanuals.com/laptops/macbook-pro-17-inch-late-2011/user-manual-17591 wich can be helpful in some cases like this one. Anyway you use bluetooth keyboard wich is possible and it's a good news.
P.S. I can't name the ballpark but you probably can sell 2011 macbook and gain some money for buying a new one ( if the keyboard changing will not fix it)
