freehub on fulcrum racing 5s is shot, needs replacing
i could just ask the man in the bike shop ( and i will shortly ) but whilst im sitting in front of a computer on a quiet day in work, can anyone tell me roughly what itl cost to replace the free-hub

cant see a new fulcrum racing 5 rear wheel anywhere

part of me , fancies replacing the wheelset, so then your getting into upgrading rather than stay the same, racing 4s on the go at 300, or others up to 350 ish so any recomendations on wheelsets at 250-350 range

at the same time i do have a set of felt ttr4s hanging off the roof of the shed doing nothing, not sure if theyl take 11 speed cassette though , does anyone know ? and they are a nice bit heavier than the existing racing 5s

The hub would be about 60 euro to buy yourself. Loads of videos on youtube to show you exactly how to mess it up, I mean, do it properly

yeah ive done more bits and pieces around the bike this year than any other , new cables, and bar tape, put the little cyclocross brakes on the young fellas bike but thats all fairly handy and no specialised tools involved,

hub replacement looks a lot more involved, and id need to buy tools, which is not neccesarily a bad thing, but there is still good potential to f*ck it up,

I took the freehub off my Fulcrum 7s and only needed a spanner and allen key - not sure the 5s would be that different.
I find the hardest thing when replacing parts is making sure what I buy is going to fit. Like for like isn't so bad, but upgrading can be a minefield if you don't research it well enough

I've replaced a freehub on a Racing 3 wheel. It couldn't be easier - <15 mins for wheel off, cassette off, freehub off and then refit. I got the freehub on Alltricks for €55.

All you need is a 5mm Allen key and 17mm spanner to replace the freehub. You do need to remove the cassette first though.

Any idea how to do this on a DT Swiss wheel? I can't find anything on the DT Swiss website.

This is the freehub that I'd be putting on to replace an existing 10speed one.
