I think you over estimate general population's knowledge or interest in food supply chains.
Our culture doesn't value food, it's just value without values.

ok a lot of people don't or simply can't afford to care this is true, good (or just not cheap food) is a middle class luxery in our economy sadly

but what is the IFAs goal here get lidl and aldi to rebrand it as lidl/aldi milk? Fine say that actually happens will it put anyone off it or improve farmers incomes.

As I said its own brand the same as in other supermarkets so the issue the IFA are raising clearly isn't own brand overall so the outcome won't do anything to change the fact people are buying own brand.

If Iwas in the IFA I'd be annoyed my reps are wasting energy on this campaign

Been asked a question, so looking for advice
Who is the best person to contact about stamp duty
Is it the accountant or the solicitor?

Waste of farmers money (thats who pays ifa wages) pursuing the supermarkets on this and possibly harming the relationship for other farming sectors. Its milk/beef/lamb price they should be pushing an agenda at and not the labelling on a carton of milk thats produced on our island.

Got this sinking feeling that the COVID quarantine in hotels is going to be a complete farce and we’ll be seeing footage from hotel staff of empty rooms like the Mary Celeste.

A conveyancing solr. In medium size practices, one of the partners usually specialises in this.

The going rate for hedge cutting ATM is what ever the judge will fine you.

Can you trim a road ditch though for safety grounds? Shouldn't need to be done now though as the season was open a few weeks ago.

It seems to be a box ticking exercise alright. It has been a major recommendation since last May but there's no political appetite for it.

That is the point of the exercise.
    To reduce people travelling.
Make people stay in a room for almost two weeks and charge them €1500, and they will choose not to come.
Or perhaps they'll fly to London, travel to Belfast, and drive across the border...

There are certain exemptions and reliefs, see https://www.revenue.ie/en/property/stamp-duty/exemptions-and-reliefs/index.aspx

Would be interesting to see the legislation with regards to the hedge trimming. How does it differentiate between a flail machine and me with my slash hook or strimmer?

Think that's fig buttercup which is toxic when ingested and causes skin irritation.

Toxic for me or for cows?

Should I be worried about it on grazing ground? Seems to be getting a hold in a couple of spots
