Got onto the abbatoir there. No difference to them TG.

I had it in the head I’d have to sell in mart and try again next year. Very hard to finish on our land.

    Thanks for the advice.

How long would a full heifer last you?

Have no idea, this is first time because we had no pigs this year. It will be shared between two houses although we would be bigger meat eaters.

Have to get down the heifer route soon too
We’ve just finished our 2nd lamb and there’s comments if there is a 3rd available
Can’t source a pig, local abattoir stopped doing them
    Love our meet too

We used to get a heifer slaughtered when the boys were younger. Be prepared for a lot of mince and roasts. Ideally ask the butcher to cut some of the roasts into smaller sizes as that is what I did after we got the first one slaughtered.

Too much round steak is what I used to find. Get as much as possible minced.

With the lambs we go for chops rather than legs

Some structure. Googled a couple of images seems to blend in very well with the landscape.

Drove over it during the summer, it's a serious feat of engineering. Excellent views from it.

I was at a funeral earlier on of a close friend and the wind would cut you in two at the graveyard.
It's the first funeral that I have attended since Covid 19 took over our lives and it was awful not to be able to hug his family and friends. We decided to have a proper wake for him sometime in the future when we are safe from this feckin virus.

Anytime i hear of the name goodman all i think of is a helicopter with the top brass landing at the old meat packing plant ( frylite) beside Dublin Airport to have a pit stop before they head off over to the UK. Not relevant but had to get it out of my head! Some lifestyle.

As long as the food is good I wouldn't worry about payment method.

Lots of advertising done on local radio and Facebook that they are open for takeaway at weekends. Daughter works in local shop, one of the card machines went down on Saturday and a rep came to fix it within an hour. No receipt given for your order either. Food is nice but I think we'll go elsewhere next weekend

It's not a nice thing for the businesses who are doing things above board to be watching.
