It's a new tank I put in during summer, shed not up on it yet. Yard is not finished so I only have the gate tied with twine, A1 Rooting.
If someone asked to let a few loads in to let pressure off I'd say yes but I hate sneaky bsstsrds.
A bale on the mixing point till I upgrade from the twine?

Has anyone started a "Septic Tank emptying" service in the locality?

A Trail Cam somewhere with infra-red capability, might get you some "candid camera" moments.

Would they just fire it over the slats then?

Quart way to treat a neighbour.

Possibly though I was thinking of moreso of hiding / getting rid of stuff in someone else's slatted tank that somebody doesn't want to get caught with.

TPF I doubt it came too far, take pics of the tyre tracks. As Neks says a trailcam isn't too expensive on ebay, only thing is when you catch them you might be shocked at who it is.

I'm beginning to wonder whether we might have an election in the new year with this Green party CETA internal division.

Never had ringworm on the farm in my life. Bought in a heifer calf in spring, noticed the Holly in the shed but thought it was a piseog. Notice it today on her and another heifer.

Will have to go treating tomorrow.

Any time i saw a bit of ring worm starting to appear on purchased stock, I found a good mineral drench always cleared it.

They all got minerals via the injection during the summer.

I was going to bolus them in the coming weeks to see how it goes- i bolus the in calf cows.

I’ve to give them a mectin based dose anyway so that and as for the topical side, I’ll call the vet and see.

Could be due a top up at this stage, I see here on my place, we'd have to mineral cattle about 4 times per year.

Occasionally a few bought in ones would have a touch of ringworm. I've used bactakill purple spray topically and a shot of multivitamin injection and it cleared it up but I also scrubbed their meal troughs with bleach to stop it spreading to others.

I lost my hair with ringworm when I was 7. Very light hair now, no grey.

Something has to pay for the fancy number plates and shiny exhaust's I guess. It's just that rising diesel prices is the usual justification for increased rates and fuel surcharges so I thought the price could be reduced seeing as fuel prices have reduced so much.

Rates never rise here with fuel costs. Never heard of it to be honest

In all seriousness though, I'd say the price of tractors would be a bigger concern. As far as I can see they're gone crazy expensive.

It's a amazing that they aren't linked considering the amount a few cents of a rise could make to a busy contractor over the year

With the volatility of fuel price in comparison to the other inputs, a contractor would want to take a median price for fuel, in doing a budget and pricing work.

That's not just due to fuel tho. It's the general cost of the machinery

Any sales ppl calling around with the usual bottles this year?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,559 ✭✭✭roosterman71

Local primary school here has a confirmed case of covid. Full class and their family told to isolate for 2 weeks. That's some pain in the hole now. Only being "freed" on Jan 1st. Bad luck and timing
