Rockall has always been contentious with us, the Danes, Islandics and Brits claiming rights.

I think it's nearest to the Faroe Islands, but it's uninhabitable so don't think it can be used for nearshore exclusion, which the Scots seem to be trying.

The name Rockall sounds like an English name.

Ireland won't contest this physically one bit.
My guess they'll go the International Courts of Justice route.

Scotland doing this and the last two years was just them wanting to have their say at the table and seem relevant if they go on their independence journey.

Another farmer killed today near listowel.
Reports are he was feeding cattle.

Had a cow did the splits the other morning. I have her in a deep bedded shed. Last job this evening was to feed her. Young lad gave her a mineral bucket of nuts and I got her a Barrow of silage. She stood in the bucket and got her front foot stuck through the side of it  had to go and get a pair of snips and cut the bucket off her leg. A lot of fooks were said

Trumps speech was top class, if it was on a film you’d leave it as being too far fetched!

"We love you, you're very special" ......I did not see that line coming!

Now there's a new years resolution for all of us. Let's all try to be a bit more safety conscious in 2021. Too many sad stories.

I saw a headline on the journal or agriland recently - Farming accounts for 60% of industrial/work place deaths despite representing 6% of the workforce.

I could be off on the % and wording slightly so open to correction but it did make me look twice at it.

If you're off your not far off, we're a bit of a disgrace to ourselves, and we seem to love making it worse and worse. If you add cancers, heart conditions, and physical deterioration's into account it's shocking altogether.

I read the same article and was surprised at the statistics. BTW your not that far off - it's nearly 50%.

The little lady here is on special anti reflux formula that has to be bought from a uk company, boots used to stock it but hadn’t any in stock last time I needed it so bought direct from source, 8 boxes delivered for 120 euro in November, went to buy the next batch and boots Ireland no longer stock it, Uk company no longer ship to Ireland and after spending 3 hours between amazon and ebay after trying 20 different uk shops all that declined to ship to Ireland finally found one that would, at 140 euro for 5 boxes, if that’s just a snapchat of what’s to come with Covid in the mix as well it’s tough times ahead

Is that where Donie O'Sullivan is from. Great reporting. My son was telling me that he uses his beguiling accent to get the right wing protesters to open up and discuss their grievances.
