I saw a headline on the journal or agriland recently - Farming accounts for 60% of industrial/work place deaths despite representing 6% of the workforce.

I could be off on the % and wording slightly so open to correction but it did make me look twice at it.

If true, it's a fairly sobering statistic, but not as many other industries live and work in the same place either. Although that is no reason we can't do better in the safety front either.

The little lady here is on special anti reflux formula that has to be bought from a uk company, boots used to stock it but hadn’t any in stock last time I needed it so bought direct from source, 8 boxes delivered for 120 euro in November, went to buy the next batch and boots Ireland no longer stock it, Uk company no longer ship to Ireland and after spending 3 hours between amazon and ebay after trying 20 different uk shops all that declined to ship to Ireland finally found one that would, at 140 euro for 5 boxes, if that’s just a snapchat of what’s to come with Covid in the mix as well it’s tough times ahead
9 years ago my young fella suffered badly with colic. Tried all the stuff available here nothing worked. Rang my brother in London to see could he get gripe water cos it was banned here. He used to send over a couple of bottles every fortnite. Was in a euro shop run by a northern man and got talking about babies and stuff. Mentioned the brother smuggling over gripe water. He ran out the back and came back out with a brown bag. Inside was 2 bottles of it. He said there is plenty of them out the back but hush hush.

Any suppliers on the continent? Maybe amazons other sites, not the .co.uk one.
Unfortunately Ireland is being lumped in with the UK for deliveries from the EU. A lot of people seem to think we're all the same. Plus lots used the UK as a hub for distribution. Good news it's illegal for an EU seller not to sell to someone in the EU. But they may not ship and you'd have to collect :D

Best of luck with the hunt

I'm hesitant to suggest this as I had some issues with what they called an oversized order  But, DPD have a thing called Parcel Wizard where you buy something in Britain and they ship it to an address in Northern Ireland, though would that work now with the border in the Irish sea I'm not sure. I think there's more than one company doing it so it might be worth a call to them to ask.

Parcel Motel have ended their service where you could give their Belfast address and it would be delivered to your local Rep. Ireland depot.

Just a suggestion that a Consultant explained to me (an adult migraine sufferer). Leave 2 hours after consuming solid food before drinking any liquids. Liquids dilute gastric juices needed for digestion.

Wouldn't go back to those days of colic and dirty nappies. Still have broken sleep though as youngest lad sleep walks and sleep talks.

Parcel Wizard and Parcel Motel are no more. Only option is An Post's Address Pal, at a €10 increase/charge. You have to give a home address for delivery.

Sad enough case here locally last week, a young man attempted to commit suicide at home but was found and rushed off to hospital by ambulance, he then left the hospital in the middle of the night and hasn't been seen since. Coast guard flying low down along the coast all day here searching. Must be really tough on the family.

I hadn’t realised that’s how that poor guard died.

I’d read some time ago he was suffering an avalanche of abuse from Her supporters.

Had a mild slip on ice here today, didn't fall but very easy to jar an injury flailing about to keep your balance....

Gravel paths are great. But I’m avoiding work out round the yard at the moment as it’s lethal.

Reversed decision on LC. They are just clueless. Norma foley doesn’t know whether she is coming or going.....there are some hard working teachers out there but I think there the minority rather than the majority.

It’s important to remember she’s caught telling straight lies here. She specifically said that she had consulted “the relevant stakeholders” when in fact she absolutely had not.

Exactly......it’s mismanagement after mismanagement. The politicians are bad but I’m afraid the civil servants in the background are not much better. It really is time we had some leadership and not this flip flopping all the time.

That’s the thing they are not managing they are just reacting. Israel is rolling out 24/7 vaccines. We are doing Mon/Fri 9 to 5. I’m really sick to the teeth of the continuous incompetence of our so called leaders.
