    Colin Lloyd punching the board!

You'd miss old Lloydy . A great character.

Was it Dave Clark on commentary with "he's obviously been working out" that time Lloyd took his shirt off

Always a big man Chizzy has put on a chunk of weight since I last saw him.

Looks like quite a few players have over lockdown this year.

Dolan looked to be carrying a bit of extra condition last night as well!

Anyone else notice that the camera only focuses in on the panel member speaking but never the presenter? When she's talking it's a wide angle of all of them.

Yes strangely I have noticed this

Didn't take much notice but I'd much rather a close up of Laura than Mardle

Nervy early doors in this one

Mark Webster is the best co-comms by a country mile
Pity they wouldn't dispense with Marble and give his slots to Webster

Has webster retired completely or just lost his tour card?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,066 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

    Ratajski is handy

Can see him getting a PL place (If there will be one in 2021) if he brings the profile of the game up in Poland

As far as I remember he lost his card last year and decided not to go to Q school, said he would take the year to get his game in shape
Haven't heard if he intends to go back to Q school in January

Not entering. Said he's happy enough doing punditry

Always see complaints about Mardles commentary but never pearson's who is awful, regularly spouts complete lies. Pyke just as bad

He has some chance of getting to a semi final but Searle/Bunting will be saying the same

What a mental way to end the match

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,557 ✭✭✭✭retalivity

3-3 in sets, 2-2 in legs, 2-2 left on the board!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,054 ✭✭✭D.Q

Hahaha Jesus tense ending there. Scrappy game but enjoyable enough for it

Dramatic finish but really not liking these 3-2 deciding sets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,030 ✭✭✭boomdocker

    Brilliant
Toe to toe all the way, and the pressure!
Ratajski marginally the better player I thought

Neither showed what it takes to win the competition.

Great grinding game that, fitting finish in a way.

What ever about that, they are both seriously repetitive

Some lack of balls on that stage, unbelievable scenes.

Ratajski deserved to lose that game. Spurned so many opportunities.

to me ratajski was the better player over all and could have won the match a lot earlier except for missing vital doubles at times.

It’s complete bull****. Change the format and the starting times of the most important tournament of the year so drunk lads can be served the whole way through the match.

    I hate them too.

As previously said, it was due to covid and not wanting the games to overun with the crowds. They couldnt change it back because the first day had crowds.

I agree, that’s why it was so frustrating to watch.
He should have been able to put him away much earlier but kept missing doubles and letting him hang onto his coattails.

Rod Studd is the worst of all of them IMO.

    Extreme OTT IMO

One more win sees Durrant in top 10 of the rankings. That's even without his Grandslam semi final counting twards his ranking. Justin Credible will still find a way to say he's not a top 10 player.

    Or his PL win.

Auld Justin is getting his comeupance around boards. Been banned a few times at this stage. Never wrong tho. Still reading tho as he felt he was called a racist on here a few weeks ago on the Dispute Resolution forum :D

thing is guys if you can score heavey and push it on mvg he,s game wilts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,030 ✭✭✭boomdocker

Looks like MvG could be here for the taking tonight

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭US2

Mvg not looking good . Joe's beat him in 2 finals already this year too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,982 ✭✭✭Degag

Cullen not doing too bad but was sure mvg was gonna punish him there

I thought the on-screen score was different - had cullen with 152 left, scored 129 leaving 6?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,281 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

He won’t play this badly for long.

Cullen nearly let him off the hook there.
    4-1 MVG coming up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,982 ✭✭✭Degag

Cullen’s finishing is what will lose him this game

    Nope. 135 and went bull, 19, T20

    Wow that was crucial.

He was bang under it there. 2-0 he was in trouble.
