Can't take anything away from Clemens but disappointed to see Wright go out. Just too wasteful at times.

Very disappointing.
Had his chances in that last set but didn’t take them.
Clemens kept the pressure up the whole match, expected his standard to drop at some stage.

great stuff by Clemens - I see him as being similar to de Sousa, heavy scorer and likely to make a breakthrough on TV at some stage as he has won a few of the floor tournaments - maybe this is it

Something to do with them not wanting matches to run over time, though I thought it was only relevant when they were going to have a crowd there

I believe it was so that the match times wouldn't overrun and therefore the crowd leaving the afternoon session wouldn't overlap with the crowds arriving for the evening session.

Since this was the format on the first night I assume they couldn't subsequently change it despite the crowds being banned.

Only problem is MvG probably feels like he's playing his big buddy and practice partner VvdV
