Electric fire choices

We have a 2 metre wall in which we are planning on installing a built in electric fire into but there is so much choice, what should I be looking for first and foremost? Power output? How much electricity it uses? Any brands I should I stay away from? We’ll probably go for something around 90-100cm wide
