Corny Key System

Hi, I have corny keg setup, working a treat. Unfortunately hasn't gotten much use recently, family, work, college etc. Wondering can has anyone used that setup to use with commercial beers. Keg connection needed and I presume tap. I have CO2 and reg and fridge. Any tips appreciated. Thanks.

You just need the sankey coupler, and the parts needed to fit your 3/8 line onto the coupler and it will work as expected.

Would probably look into a picnic tap with 3/16 line (you can get them prebuilt from the malt miller).

Hi, thanks for that. I have the picnic tap but I'd no idea of pressure or if commercial tap will pull a pint better etc.

I get good pints out of those picnic taps, only drawback is that you have to open the kegerator/keezer to serve (and that has consequences for condensation etc.).

Long term setting up shanks proper taps etc. is the way to go. Commercial beer taps have design features in them that a home brew setup doesnt need to care about (like chilling the beer line going into the tap to stop foaming.
