Heard about a dozen staff in Supervalu new Ross have tested positive

Oh really? Haven't heard that now.

The fact that the Pantry on the Quay is opening back up again is a complete and utter disgrace. When it was open the first time, there was no social distancing, masks and was just a big meeting point. The whole Country has been told to stay at home don't go out etc, but our County Council have no approved for this to be re-opened.

I agree. I walk the quay regularly and the difference since that has been closed and when it was open previously is staggering.

I heard about too, apparently every 1 in 20 in Tramore now has covid or something, how did the outbreak begin for them?

Completely agree. When it was opened during the last lockdown I refused to walk along the quay instead I walked on the other side on the footpath.

George Lawlor has now defended himself saying it's for mental health... it has nothing to do with mental health (especially after the tragedy in town) and is an easy topic to win back some people. If it was to do with mental health why doesn't he spend the same amount of time he spent arguing about opening the coffee shop as he would for fulltime mental health services, or get the pantry to donate.

heard the 1 in 20 thing might be a slight exaggeration but seems to be an outbreak from a pub lock in on xmas eve.

Oh seriously like? Do people not have any common sense like, the rules are there for a reason like to stop this from happening, time and time again it continues to.

Also heard Ferndale and Belvedere have alot of confirmed cases due to house parties but I'm not sure how true that is either now.

Never underestimate the stupidity of people. And never put your faith in people to do the right thing.

I really hope the attached isn't true, couldn't think I've a higher level of brain-dead-ness and vile and selfish behaviour.
