A saving grace for Kelderman is that Bilbao & Fuglsang will catch him soon so he might have some help sharing the work load.

    Nope!! Wow - poor guy.

Brian Smith must be starting to go nuts with Rob Hatch interrupting him the whole time

    Almeida might even catch Kelderman

Fuglsang and Bilbao could yet win this stage and go to the top.

Aye hard to see if Tao can keep it going how Kelderman takes pink, he has 1"20s to play with as it stands!

You'd have to question Sunweb/Hindley as they didn't contest the intermediate sprint.

Wonder did the team car not i form him?

Bilbao drops Fuglsang and has the gap to the leaders under a minute with 6k to go.

Since Tao lost Dennis he's done nothing but loose time to all the rest. I don't know does he have that much

last 1.5k is flat, hindley should have a go soon as i think kelderman will be safe in the pink tonight

That sprint was irrelevant. Whichever one wins the stage is ahead in gc

There are so many hairpin bends and they are so tightly packed together it seems like you will never reach the tower at the top of the climb

That road / tunnel looks incredible.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,761 ✭✭✭✭Inquitus

Coming on for 2 minutes to Kelderman, that would leave under 1 min to reclaim on Sestrière x 3 and the ITT on stage 21 for Hindley and Tao.

40 second lead for Kelderman going into the final 3 stages!

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,425 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

The road between the tower and the finish line was gravel when I was there last year. It was gravel for the women's Giro last year too. They made it all smooth for the men :pac:

Its a lot less than that:

    1 2 ▲1 KELDERMAN Wilco Team Sunweb 77:46:56
    2 3 ▲1 HINDLEY Jai Team Sunweb 0:12
    3 4 ▲1 GEOGHEGAN HART Tao INEOS Grenadiers 0:15

Rob Hatch "a stage for the ages" lol said it a few times too, he's worse than Kirby lately , never thought I'd say that.

Hatch giving all the credit on the day to Dennis while Sunweb win the stage and take the pink. Ha

Kelderman by far the best time trialist of the 3 so let’s see what happens on Saturday now

Don't think todays stage of the Vuelta can top that. A stage win for Dan might help though

I'll be telling my grandchildren about that stage on my death bed.

Aye I forgot the bonuses accrued, very close indeed. Kelderman took 27 seconds on Tao in the long TT, he will probably take around 10 at most in the final stage, so all to play for! Hindley he took over a minute from and Tao close to a minute.

I was second guessing myself there, thinking "I could have sworn this was a gravel road in the Giro Rosa last year"
