He didn't see him, Lance only has eyes for his dash. Can't wait to hear Otmar BS his way through the excuse for Lance this time

Stroll can have no complaints with that 5 sec penalty

Bottas is a joker. Put up some sort of fight

Russell and vettel points? Leclerc podium?

Mercedes have to gamble on the Hards here or do a two-stopper Soft/Med. Track temp is supposed to be about 20C so it could be very hard to get the hards to work, you'd think? thoughts?

    Perez recovering nicely

Just going about his business, head down and try to recover as much as possible. I'm biased but I think he's criminally underrated

I don't think it makes any difference which strat they go with it, the car is too good to lose on either.

I'd agree, he's an incredibly solid driver

No he complained about them when he was behind Bottas maybe 10 laps ago.

Excellent battle from Perez and Ocon there,

Some other drivers might have waited until the drs next lap, respect to Perez.

Stick a set of wheelbarrow wheels on them and they'd still win the race.

LeClerc extending his lead over Perez slightly, was 3s out to 5s now. 4th would be great for him, possible podium if someone in front has issues

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Bottas had to take the same tyres as Hamilton

    That's total BS. Absolute sham

Yet again Bottas wants a different strategy but of course Merc wouldn't want him racing Hamilton for the lead because "that's not how we do business"

Gasly is a man really enjoying his racing this season, another great performance from him today so far.

Bad enough to have one team dominating without them trying to fix it so one of their drivers has a far better chance of winning than other and trying to prevent a proper race.

If it was the other way around it would be different story becaus Hamilton would throw his toys out the pram if he didn't get his way.

    Agreed .

You have to hand it to Rosberg in fairness. He was in the same boat as Bottas, but he managed to beat Hamilton and the teams efforts to keep him at number 2.

Aye it seems likely that Albon's grip on the Red Bull 2021 drive is getting more tenuous with each passing weekend!

To be fair to Mercedes they’re happy having both cars in the top 2 positions, they’re not interested in playing favourites by giving one faster tyres than the other.

The real shame is having nobody else to challenge them at all.

That 2nd second seat at RedBull seems a bit of a poisoned chalice

    They always play favourites.

If it was other way around Hamilton would have got soft tyres .

He hasn't stepped up his performance level, all he needed is to execute a clean weekend

Indeed to date bar Danny Ric it has made anyone seated in it look foolish!

Do they? I can’t remember a reverse situation where that happened.

They have the same car and there’s a team strategy. The main difference is Hamilton is a much better driver.

I think Ocon needs this finish over Danny Ric, he really hasn't been performing where he needs to be

Did it happen at one of the Silverstone races this year?

Bottas leading and did a second stop and Hamilton stayed out

Lewis has cramp, he is really up against it now for these 7 laps.

Will Ferrari have the balls to put LeClerc on some fresh tyres for the last couple of laps?

However will he win with only 18 seconds between him and Bottas... Mountain to climb.
