    Enlighten us further.

At busy times both the center and Dr Troy back up into each other. The center already backs up to coolmine school and beyond, now the recycling center backs up even further than it used to. Even with the reduced traffic in Covid. Clonsilla road is now backing up regularly at this point. A new bridge will do the same, since traffic always increases to fill road capacity and draws traffic to it.

All nicely concentrated in the same tiny area. A nice square from power city, Dr Troy bridge, coolmine cross to coolmine school. Plus all the new housing nearby...

People on this thread seem to think the location and/or layout of the recycling center can't be improved. I guess we'll just have to live with it, come up with our own solutions.

Was there around 10am yesterday, open as usual and no queues. It had been pretty crazy post Christmas so that seems to have subsided.

Went there today at 14:00, was expecting a queue to get in since it was a Sat. No queue but fairly packed inside with about 20 cars and vans despite the rain.

Lots of people seemed to be there with just glass and cardboard. Guess it makes sense since no charge for recyclables so would have thought the bottle banks in the likes of Tesco would be handier for disposing of glass.

Or the Bottle Bank in Millennium Park which is a distance of 550 metres.

If they are going to coolmine with something else anyway why not bring the bottles and only make one stop. I assume.
