Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Late Late Show-Friday 23rd October 2020

    Good evening once again everyone.

    Tonight’s lineup to follow...don’t touch that dial...
    Bruce Springsteen speaks 'to whom it may concern' on tonight's Late Late Show. And does Matthew McConaughey actually render Ryan Tubridy speechless with a story about his father this evening?

    If his father “doyed”, maybe.

    Prof. Holohan also joins DLB for the Covid Slot.

    Megyn Kelly formerly of Fox News will facilitate a good ole Trump bashing, while Liverpool fan and tragic assault victim Sean Cox will also feature.

    Music by some pair I’ve never heard of, and Something Happens.

    Not the worst lineup ever, have to say.

    I believe Holohan is on tonight, so that's at least one misery slot sorted.

    And two-Matt McConaughey on his dead dad;
    'He had a heart attack when he climaxed."

    And three, Megyn's oul lad passed away 35 years ago, be sure Tubbers will have googled the same thing I just did ("Celebrity X AND dead relatives), and will refer to it;
    In a letter to the Daily Mail, Kelly, 48, opened up about her holiday plans and reflected on the death of her father Edward, who died 10 days before Christmas Day when she was just 15 years old.

    Even Tom Dunne has misery potential!

    Dainty Little Bugger. Think it was Griff Rhys Jones who called Tubs that on the show a few years ago.

    Not Griff Rhys Jones no, but it was a fellow man of Harlech with a very similar name, Rhys Ifans.

    Here you go
    Joining Graham this week in the studio and remotely are music legend Bruce Springsteen, actor Matthew McConaughey, Hollywood superstar Kristin Scott Thomas, actor and comedian Stephen Mangan, and comedian Mawaan Rizwan.

    Matthew McConaughey will be stopping by to chat about new memoir Greenlights.

    Meanwhile, Springsteen will join Graham from New York to chat over his new album (and documentary) Letter to You.

    Scott Thomas will feature to promote TV adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca, while Mangan will speak about fronting Portrait Artist of the Year, and Rizwan new series Two Weeks to Live.

    Word on the street, (the Bruce Springsteen thread) is that Bruce got all his interviews out of the way in one day, last Friday.

    He needs to realise it is the only gig in town.

    As a first time poster on this thread, I would like to state a few things.

    1. The hilarity of this thread does not make up for this show continuing.

    2. Is some random three star movie that nobody remembers the best/only replacement idea RTE have?

    3. The Toy Show should be able to survive without the Late Late, so the Toy Show's existence should not be justification for flogging this dead, dead, horse for nine months a year.

    Good guest list today.

    Arsene last week, Bruce this week. If he gets Wallace and Grommit next week, that all my favourite people in a row.

    Agree. One night without Covid would have been nice. He got good guests and then ruins it with Dr. Doom.

    I thought you were locked down at 6pm, but thankfully the travel restrictions don’t apply to the interweb!

    Could they scrap the LLS tonight and show extended coverage of bastard John Gilligan being arrested and the gun being found at his house?

    Considering Tony's wife is very unwell - I'm sure Ryan will fit that in too.

    Unless he has said that is off topic.

    I hope the DLB does not probe Tony on his wife's illness.
    Hope she is doing well but it doesn't need to be probed to satisfy Ryan's insatiable appetite for misery.
