Nah it was definite obstruction. Put foot out for a little trip which is the real issue.

    Ridiculous call

    Rubbish decision

The Italian gets his hands onto Stockdale but somehow he was blocked from making the tackle

What position are they playing in?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,039 ✭✭✭TomsOnTheRoof

That's a terrible call. No consistency given the block on Conway. Absolutely minimal.

    It was in fairness.

That is such a soft decision

One of the few times a second row has ever been caught tackling a player on camera :pac:

The only way that was not obstruction in the TMO’s eye is if Ryan has his arm amputated.

How can these refs be rugby fans and be okay with decisions like that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,730 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Ah lads Ryan definitely stepped in front of the player there.

    Henshaw replaces ringrose

Nice! Deserved that after the last one!

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Are people not seeing the fact that Ryan clearly attempted to trip the tackler and made contact with his boot?

Super try, perfect kick from Murray at full tilt

He stuck his bloody leg out to trip him.

    Brilliant from Doris and Keenan.

Murray got a bit lucky too. Shouldn't have cut back inside when he had two players out wide.

Another try for Keenan, what a fantastic debut

Only shame is his family aren't there

    Terrific kick and great finish!!

Shouts at Beirne to leave it, he does, gets cleaned out past the ruck ... nothing!

Ref is checking this too... FFS.

English lads keeping the score down for the craic (not really).

This. The hand was nothing - an attempt at a trip will always be penalised.

    Magnificent kick from Murray

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,752 ✭✭✭degsie

    TMO should check that conversion

  • Registered Users Posts: 154 ✭✭magic17

Wow, that was incredible! Some great tries being scored! They are certainly answering Ireland's call today! Well done lads!

Presumably Ringrose failed his HIA. Commentators have said nothing, but the way he was dragged from the field by the doctor suggests he's not coming back.

Shame too as he started that game so well.

Keenan must have taken the criticism of his scoring personally

Murray did nothing wrong. Super kick into space

That's debatable, the Italian made contact with Ryan first and at full speed it looked more like he was slightly off balance.

They mentioned it was permanent there a few minutes ago, unfortunately.

Knee to the chin. Thought he looked ok jogging off

There seems to be more silence during a kick in a packed stadium then an empty one

Murray us putting on a display with his long-range passing

Whatever about the defensive concerns, Stockdale is certainly giving an indication of what he can do going forward from 15.

Keenan is electric...what a first half from him

The back row has been superb.
