Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Multiple Output SAT/AERIAL splitter

I have a 3 combined cable feeds from my satellite and saorview aerial to a central comms area. Currently I have simple indoor SAT/AERIAL splitter, one input feed to the get the 2 outputs (sat & aerial). All 3 in use, got a new TV today so I need another.

I want to 'upgrade' one splitter to get extra satellite outputs and extra saorview outputs from that one feed. To future proof 4 of each.

I've been looking into it but am getting confused. For example I can't tell if I can get both Sat and Aerial out from one unit.

Can anyone advise on what I need.

    Thanks

A multiswitch is what you require, 4 sat inputs (required) plus the aerial feed in. Available in 4, 8, 12, 16 etc. combined outputs.

    A 5x4 multiswitch has 4 outputs, a 5x8 multiswitch has 8 outputs etc.

This one will work with your existing quad LNB - https://www.freetv.ie/5x8-satellite-multiswitch/

That does look like what I may need, but I'm struggling with Satellite feeds. I do have a quad LNB but for some reason only 3 feeds were taken from it and I can't get another. I assume that rules out your suggestion?

The link below is what I have currently, even if there was something similar with a 2nd satellite output

    Yes unfortunately.

There isn't because you can't split a legacy sat feed like you can a terrestrial aerial feed.

There may be an option using the newer SkyQ wideband LNB, 2 cables from a wideband LNB on the dish into a wideband compatible multiswitch with multi outputs as above. I'll have a quick look around.

This multiswitch is an option with a new wideband or hybrid LNB on the dish and just 2 cables from the LNB, more expensive than the other switches.

Fantastic, thanks I never would have figured that all out

The hybrid is the way I think I'll have to go
