Clock stopped during the water break, it stay at 19.07 if memory serves me.

That makes a bit more sense then, I didn't think they stopped the clock.

Decent first half. I feel Limerick will go on to win by 10 points as they've a far healthier spread of scorers and that wind is worth a nice few points. Clare are just about hanging in there.

Clare have had 4 scorers, Limerick have had 5

That they might but Tipp will ate them next week.
They think they just have to go out there and show up.

Looks a fair breeze that. A 7-10 point breeze.

You can't have been in Thurles too many times. It's blowing across the field from the Killinan corner. Not that big an advantage.

One of Clare's has 0-12. Only one other forward has scored one point. Think Limerick have a wider threat up front. And the second half will prove it i feel.

Is the camera lower in the stand ??

Very good battle here, Munster is ultra competitive

Been in Thurles loads of times. Saw many Munster hurling finals. I was looking at the sidekline flags which seemed to be blowing towards the Town End.

That's true, but 3 of Clare's scorers have only hit a point a piece. Kelly has hit 12. Some of limerick's scorers have hit two or three points each. Gillane has got 8.

It sort of reminds me of joe cannings 2-12 against cork below in thurles in 2008. Only three other players scored that night, and each one of them only scored a point each.

It would be nice if the referee let Clare take their quick puck outs. It’s supposed to be the championship, fast paced intense hurling

Many munster finals... there are a few other games there aside from the final kid.

Ref acting the prick there, 21 was clear pretty much every time.

The rule is clear. You’ll get a chance to go quick after a wide but not a score.

I'd say Kelly playing at 13 but flouting out at times caught Limerick off guard, they might move someone like Finn onto him for the 2nd half, Clare have Shanager and Cunningham to throw off the bench, no Dowling for limerick but Flanagan could make an impact

Shannagher on for Clare, good change in my opinion especially if the ball starts to hang up in the air a bit

Here's a few aside from Munster finals ive been at

1987 Munster semi final brought as a young lad by my Dad and saw John Fenton score the games greatest ever goal imo.

Hurling Qualifier when Canning scored 2-12 v Cork (a poster commented here about it)

Hurling Qualifier where Donal Og got sent off but Cork rallied and beat Galway

Dubs v Kerry football semi final

And numerous Tipp league matches (im a Dub with Tipp roots).

Too many matches too mention kid.

2 quick points for Limerick within a minute of the throw in

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Make that 3 in 75 seconds

Sorry for being pedantic but you haven't listed a single Munster final there :pac::pac::pac:

I think this game is done.

Clare not having an exit from their puck out against the wind is being exposed now, Limerick pull out a 5 point lead

First wide for Kelly, we needed that, Limerick up for a point, 6 point lead now for Limerick

Hence why the poster said aside from munster finals.

Why would i when i was saying which non-Munster finals i was at in Thurles? Please keep up :) Although i think im mixing Joe Cannings 2-12 up with the same game that Donol Og was sent off in.

It's almost like a game of backs and forwards now, Clare are being dominated on their own puck out

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Second back wide from frees from TK

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Clare's first score in the second half, Limerick are well on top here

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Another TK point from Clare, 21 to 17 now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

    Clare needed that goal

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

ABOY Taylor, goal for Clare, Ryan Taylor 21 to 1-17 now

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Limerick caught messing with the ball around the half forward line and Clare punished them with a nice goal. From six points ahead to a solitary point.

Sean finn lost ryan taylor for goal.

Limerick have been pulled for throws and overcarrying more than any team that I can remember for a long time.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Bad wide from a free from Kelly there, that's 3 wides from frees in the second half now

  • Registered Users Posts: 557 ✭✭✭Morris Moss

Some terribly soft frees in this, it's like a challenge match

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Clare don't have a midfield at the moment, Limerick completely on top

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Some of Clare's clearances from the full back line are aimless, at best.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Peter Casey is near impossible to hook with that very short grip on the hurley.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Water break and Limerick are up by 4 point, 0-25 to 1-18.

And the clock stops for the water break.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Jesus Taylor hit that ball awful close to the goalie.

I think Clare will need another goal or 2 to win this 1

Clare's half forwards and midfield are being completely dominated by Limerick.

Same last night. Without the crowds the refs are going by the book knowing they won't get eaten afterwards.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

    Reidy off, never got going

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Desperate miss by Kyle Hayes when there was a goal on..Clare straight up the field for a point. Two point swing. Kyle Hayes has been poor today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

The yellow sliotar broke Byrnes hurley. Never saw a hurley break like that.

4 points in it now, 1-21 to 0-28. Not sure how Clare are still in this but we are CMON THE BANNER

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

10 minutes to go now we could do with bringing on a few subs

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,008 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

And just like that Limerick put over 2 points to go 6 points in front.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,269 ✭✭✭threeball

For a team that has a reputation for accurate short passing Clares short game has been really poor. Missing lads with simple 20 to 30m balls regularly. Making it easy for Limerick.
