Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Real shame for Evans that

That's a shame for Evans. Obviously wanted to come back for this game. He'll be a big loss now.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 33,246 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Evans really organised that defence, very vocal, a real leader of the team.

Fully expect Chelsea to win this.

Dull enough game so far, couple of chances but the keepers haven't been tested yet. Suspect the opening goal might win it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,694 ✭✭✭✭osarusan

Chelsea bossed the first 30 minutes or so, big gaps between Leicester defence and midfield, but they sorted that out eventually and came more into it. Leicest offering very little up front though.

What's the story with Werner? Is he always so wayward in his shooting?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,912 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Is Tammy Abraham finished at Chelsea now that he didn't even make the match day squad for this.

4 goals in the FA cup for them season as well.

Have you been hidden in a bunker since August?

I think he was finished as soon as Tuchels came in. Doesn't seem to be his type of player at all.

UK sports minister talking about test games. Talking about mask compliance. I am guessing compliance does not mean in the stands

    Woeful stuff.

Not a shot on target from either side.
The modern game is so negative.

All about stopping the other team playing and keeping it tight.

Severe lack of positivity in modern managers.

Oh I agree was meant to be a bit of a joke

Yup, and tbh even if they got Haaland, he'd still be there.

He's wasteful - but he's also hugely productive. Works incredibly hard and causes a lot of problems. And even in the worst scoring form of his life, he's still scored or assisted 26 times in all comps this season.

i think so, but also dont know what rules they are going by today. the assister hand balled but dont think that is relevant anymore

What an interception in the build up to the goal.

Yea, Leicester player dived like a keeper and blocked the chelsea clearance, and he even looked at ref and thought for sure he'd be sussed, but no handball, and then its in the back of the net. Harsh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,315 ✭✭✭Sam Hain

Stunning strike by the best player on the pitch. But it's as much a a handball by Perez as Silva's was in the 1st half.

BT's ref in the backroom came on and said it would never be given as a handball.

also said even if it was a clear handball the goal wouldn't have been disallowed due to it not leading directly to a goal.

just keep the rules the same!
