Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cuprinol Garden Shades

To all you knowledgeable painters and decorators, is there any reason why I couldn’t or shouldn’t paint my front door with the Cuprinol Urban Slate product? It is marketed as part of the Garden Shade series, so sheds, fences etc. I’ve used in the garden and love the colour.

While on the topic, my front door was badly painted (varnished) by a couple of real cowboys. It’s a mess and I would like to strip back to bear wood. Sanding doesn’t look like a good option as there are two many grooves where the sander won’t reach and I am not in the form for another bout of carpel tunnel syndrome. So I was looking at paint strippers. Rust-oleum NR-1 in particular.

Have any of you tried this product? I have never paint stripped anything and I am also wondering what to expect when stripping a vertical surface. Possibly a lot of goop?
