Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

140k does kinda seem reasonable as mclaren ownership goes.. Can't wait for a few photos from you Smurf. Working today?

@Smurf, I never trust a mackrel sky, do you....

It looks beautiful but it’s bringing 4-5 days of intense cold weather, that area is expecting -6C.

We are either working, resting or standby, so right now the next trip that’s arranged is mine. So contemplating going walking or waiting until it gets warmer, 11C is too cold for me :):)

Trying to work out what side business my colleague is in, as he certainly isn’t buying these Cars on his salary, but there again he is single with no kids :):)

I think spending that much money on a car is crazy, unless he is a multi-millionaire!!!!
Mind you, think everyone knows how I feel about cars.......coming up on 2 years since my car was washed :)

If I won a big lotto, I think my most expensive car by would be a DB9 or7, like bond

I could employ someone to wash it

Coffee makes me sleepy for some reason.

Just out of bed, daughter claims she wants to stay in bed watching YT kids.

Fine by me, homework will get done later anyway!

    Feckin homeschooling.

BTW if someone suddenly turns up with a Ferrari now then they're probably into cryptocurrency.

I think those ferrari type cars are horrible. I expect a sleazy executive type with slicked back hair to step out of it. Or Conor McGregor.

    DB7 is lovely :)

Week is looking brighter, got a ‘Friday night' box from a pal, with wine, tortilla chips, sweeties and some chocolate. Very thoughtful of her and the small gesture has cheered me up no end.

Up early today as usual. Mrs G had a small stay of execution in the leaba.:D Got Ms G the breakie and settled at the desk and laptop for school. Then I gutted my work gear. It's a job that needed doing and was brought about by finding decent storage containers in Aldi last Monday. Only 4.50 a pop. Everything is now seriously organized for whenever I can get back to work and that includes my stalled new start up. But there was one casualty. The first ever flight case I bought back in 1993 decided that today was the day that the locks would break.:( That case has some milage on it and if it could talk, the stories would be epic!

If your not in work due to the crap situation we are in, ya gotta find something to do and today was very stimulating. I even serviced the tech desk. I did one more sad thing. I stocked up my "boot box". It's the little car kit that comes everywhere with me. It contains a blanket, torch, engine oil, water, de-icer, towel, deodorant, wipes, sanitiser, cloths and bog roll. It's now got face masks, more sanitiser and soap!

Stay cool if you can folks!

I'm an AA member, but if your stuck in the middle of nowhere with no mobile coverage the boot box comes in very handy. I've been there!

If we hadn't already known you're a Dad, we would now!

I need to put one of these together for my boot and make my own Dad happy.

Yo sport. You normally have great suggestions. But I had a burrito yesterday. There is a burger joint just 2 blocks away. Family owned. Not one of those chains with generic food. Grass fed beef. Cooked from scratch. Not that pre-cooked frozen stuff. You have to wait. Smacks taster. :pac:

Hi all, a bit late with this but I decided to take the time to watch US return to normal on Wed!
It was nice to see Harris and Biden being inaugurated but this girl stopped me in my tracks: https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/News/22-year-amanda-gorman-read-poem-joe-bidens/story?id=75346294

I'm a techie and usually I get most of my culture from yoghurt. I can't put my finger on why I was so engrossed: maybe it was because I believed every word she said because of the way she spoke, or maybe something else, I don't know. Any good Netflix recommendations based on my new arty self??

    It's the weekend!

Prepping a big batch curry with the Joshua tree as the soundtrack. Is there a better album opener than where the streets have no name? I can't think of one.

Have a good weekend wherever you are.

In honour of Dave, I cleaned out my car today :)
It wasn't too bad actually but fluff and dust seem to gather in crevices and it needed a hoover.
The inside might be looking good but the outside is a pitied sight but when you live in the country and it's winter, it's impossible to keep cars looking clean.
In other news, it's fantastic to see the evening stretch.

To thine own self be true
