Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.
Hi there,

I hope people really get on board. It would be great to have something to look forward to. It's getting tough lately. I'm at a 9.4 on the fed up scale.

I just don't wanna drive too far. I'm a bit of a nervous driver.

Has Blaaz put his name down? Maybe I could get a lift.

I'm sure someone could squeeze you into their Batmobile :)

There have been boards beers in various different places held by different forums over the years, finding a suitable date is usually the toughest bit and yes there will be plenty who won't feel like going. Never any harm in trying though.. I haven't managed one yet with weekend work..

Hey Grem, I'm on Boards.ie 17 years and attended one Boards beers in Dublin and it was grim as fook. That was back in the day when you needed a lap top or PC, and most on them were mad weirdos. With Smartphones, it has got worse, not better. So if BBs trip is to take off, we need very strict restrictions.:D

I'm away to the leaba. School night.

Put my name down for the meet up :D

Had no PA yesterday (someone in her family had a covid test and now waiting on results), so I did the cooking by myself :)

My truck is still awaiting an engine, if the latest plan doesn’t obtain one, I will look at replacing the 5 cylinder engine with a V8.

As for replacement, one of the main issues is that they don’t sell cars with small engines, the lovely little Hyundai Kona comes with a 2litre engine, the Tucson with 2.5 liters.

My early morning reading consists of learning about the availability, portability, lethality and ease of use for Anti aircraft artillery, man held missiles and surface to air missiles. It’s so nice to be back to focusing on normal concerns rather than COVID.

But screw lunch, think I shall just drop these guys and get the hell outta there. :)

Clearly you’ve never seen the “back seat” of a coupe A5. It’s the most pointless “use” of space ever. Unless the person has short legs!

Clearly you don't comprehend my lack of knowledge about cars :D motorbikes I have more of a clue though those days are behind me.

Anyway I'm tiny so I'll fit :) sorry BB :D

It would appear the passenger seat is where all "the action" takes place so backseat is safer :D

    Hahah! Ok, fair enough! :D

In all seriousness, if this is organised, I will also 100% show up. I’ll help whoever does organise too.

Werk Werk Werk. My feet are like icicles.

I've been to lots of Boards meetups and met some really great people. There are a few people I'd like to meet alright, 2 or 3 from this thread currently. If there was a forum wide meetup I'd definitely consider going but not a thread based one. In saying that if anyone ever finds themselves at a loose end or just a bit lonesome in these current times, send me a pm and I'll go for a takeaway coffee with you.

I remember years ago having the craic on here with Shpud. He was in Dublin and was waiting around for something. I was also waiting, sat in Dakota with the laptop and a pint. He came in to me. Pair of us had a chat about school and teenage things.

    RIP Shpud.

Saw this and thought how true it is ...

Ok , screenshots won't attach , too large so this is what it was ...

The world is full of people who, no matter what you do , no matter what you try , will simply not like you .
But the world is also full of those who will love you fiercely.
The ones who love you , they are your people.
    Be Who You Are .
You are not everyone's cup of tea , and that is ok .
