Earlier we tried to get all Martian like. With the found crappy action cam mounted on a mini tripod and as the rover landed on Mars, this was our version of War of the Worlds in the Kitchen.:D



A lovely evening of Science, Art and fun here. Soon it will be bed and again listening to wind and rain.:eek:

Yippee, I’m on days off, however thanks to my little jaunt to Amman, I need to go a swab test tonight (48 hours after arriving) wait for the results and go :)
Will pick up the truck on the way from the airport tomorrow complete with a new engine so mutt is getting me and the truck at the same time.

I'm still half asleep trundling along the Swords bypass on the 101 bus on the way in to work. Getting up at 5.30am from Mon-Friday takes it out of me at the end of the week. I'm looking forward to my takeaway chicken shawarma kebab and peat briquette fire later followed by a nice Saturday morning lie in.

Mrs G learned how to give me a haircut last year. I bought a kit with shaver and all that. She watched a few youtube videos and now gets it right every time. No more sitting for ages in a barbers and forking out 15 quid a pop. Feel sorry for barbers though.

I was gonna build a robot tonight, but decided against it. Apparently its solar powered. A bit finicky for a Friday night. :pac: So as I've feck all interest in what's on the telly, I'm here with a beer.:D

I'm being sent on an essential mission tomorrow to Lidl. Looking to see if they have any cordless upright vacuum cleaners left. I think they went on sale yesterday. We road tested one this evening as a neighbour couldn't put it together.:D The cat could have done it.:pac: This thing at its price could make me fall in love with vacuuming for the first time ever. Cleans floors, curtains, beds and stuff. Covid has driven me down to this level of absolute dreariness and on a Friday night.:D

Went to do a road side Covid test as the results are immediately entered in the national computer system, this was my 54th test and it was bloody horrible, throat swab through the window of a Toyota passenger van. I can still feel myself gagging.

Anyway that should be my freedom pass in about 12 hours.

So looking forward to a cold beer, my first drink in 50 days.
