Really? I've reached the age in a woman's life were it's tropical most of the time.

:D Heating on part two here because when I crawl into the leaba later, Mrs G will have the window open and her legs hanging out from under the duvet. The leccie blanket is long gone so I'm reduced to a hot water bottle.

Back in the kitchen on the laptop. I was run from upstairs (tech desk) as Mrs G has hit the hay. A different room and headphones, but still a big feck off.:D She wouldn't be like that if it was an earner!

We had 4 seasons in one day here.

Freezing cold here now so I'm going to spoon Sardi for some tropical heat.

Hailstones and lighting outside. Positively balmy with me, though. Snuggle up, Leggers!.

Bedside and it's not even 10pm on a Friday night, this is beyond the joke. I haven't been in bed this early since I was in national school. Hot water bottle and dressing gown on here, it's Baltic outside, I got caught in a hail shower while out walking earlier, my face is fully exfoliated after it and possible 3rd degree burns.

Takeaway pizza and chips earlier, wasn't hungry but of course I had to stuff my face and now I'm bloated. No wine again tonight, I really don't like or recognise the person I'm becoming, genuinely feel that I may never feel like going to a pub or socialising again, old age has taken set in during Covid and I'm Meh about absolutely everything.

My mam got her second vaccine today and my dad got his first one, kinda cute that they went in together as eachothers ' helper' lol. They're delighted with it even though we had to give him a bit of a push to take it.

    Bored and bedside.

Duvet, it's all the lockdowns. At times I don't know whether to cry or bash my head against the wall.

I'm snuggled against Sardi's bosum enjoying the radiating heat.

Duvet, do you wear the dressing gown in bed?
I thought I was the only cold creature round here!

Couchside but laughing 'cos same Duvet. Earlier this week was feeling like I'd aged 10 years in the past one so I had a home spa day, every sample product/Christmas gift special got slathered on me today, as well as some fake tan, proper blow-dry, makeup, lippie and all :D Then put on a proper skirt and boots, and set full on table for dinner. Mr C looked a bit scared (but he'll be fine). And I feel slightly more human :o:P:pac:

On other (ranty)matters I am fed the f*^& up with friends inviting me to drop over/watch a movie/gig with us/swing by/where have you beens... I have an elderly mother (first jab down woo hoo) but we've conversed via back yard grocery drop-offs for months now, I just couldn't risk it. And these mother*^&%ers - mostly people with teens and college age students and parents of their own and they just don't seem to care??? Anyway, they're all going onto a list... Not sure what to do with this yet... But my next lockdown project might involve voodoo dolls :)

Well, I keep it on getting into the bed and remove it once I warm up.☺️

@ Cali, I put fake tan on about 4 inches of skin between the end of my leggings and my runners. ☺️

Lads the glitch is beyond annoying at this stage, it definitely slows the whole ' conversation '.

Oh it's nearing new thread time that might fix it Duvet. I'll look after that in a bit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,363 ✭✭✭✭Purple Mountain

    I've no glitch here.
Duvet, that's a good idea! I only had the "real" flu once and I had to wear a dressing gown and wolly hat to bed to try warm up.
As my mother says of this time of year "March of many weathers".

Sardi, I was thinking of you tonight. Midsomer was on.
In my head, I was meowing the tune but I didn't let it escape my lips because there'd be an ambulance outside for me :D

    Are you saying I'm crackers?!

It's incredibly satisfying to meow along to a song or tv show. Another favourite of mine is 'Orange is the New Black" theme song on a baby voice with these lyrics: The animals/The animals/Meow meow littie animals.

Go on. Try it. You'll love it!

    Its only 2.30 !!!

Womderful views of the world below smurfjed - envious! Oh, how I’d love to be on an airplane now, traveling somewhere warm and balmy. :)

Delivering lectures for the part-time course I teach today. One down, one to go...

Meeting a friend for a walk, chat and a coffee at 5.30pm.

@Poochie-5, have you noticed any changes to your behaviour since the vaccination? Around here I’m starting to see a lot more mixing and less people using masks.

Gearing up for the Ireland game. Tech desk converted to man cave for one. Three friends going live with me. Beer, nibbles and grub set up for afterwards. Once again trying to recreate a night out of some sorts with a boozy takeaway on the way home.:D

Me personally no, as I have family members I would worry about, but I do feel a bit more hopeful that an end is in sight.

I remember Titanic having an intermission as it was considered on the long side. Pretty sure it wasn't up to the four-hour mark.

It’s a place called NEOM in Saudi Arabia, home to THE LINE :) Red Sea is on the other side and Sharm El Sheikh is 50 kms north west.

I have driven through these mountains but haven’t explored.
