Sanity Preservation during lockdown Run Streak Q4 2020

    Since the 1st lockdown this year I have lost a lot of fitness. Before this 2nd lockdown I had started running every day trying get some sort of fitness back.

    I'm very fortunate to be able to work from home and I find the daily run is really helping me. I'd like to share this streak so as to help others (and encourage me to keep it up tbh).

    There is a long tradition of having a Christmas/December Run Streak over on the "Triathlon / Duathlon / Adventure Racing" forum. This is not a replacement for that.

    I'm shamelessly pinching this idea and format though and re-purposing as a "Sanity Preservation during lockdown Run Streak Q4 2020" in this forum (spoke to mod there).

    Run Streak Rules:
    1. Minimum 30 minutes run every day(up to you how much more you do)
    2. no banking of days, i.e. cannot run twice one day and then skip a day. neither can you run an hour 1 day and skip a day.
    3. no minimum pace, just has to be over 30 minutes
    4. once you miss a day you are out. no if's and or buts. done.
    5. Starts now (1 week in) ends at the end of the 6 week lockdown 2nd Dec.

    for those that haven't done it, it's far harder than it may seem. if you are interested, add your name to the table below, if you don't know how ask and i'll do it for you. first name is a placeholder for the table

    I havent run more than two days straight in probably 2 and a half years and haven't run a step in 7 months but if Kipchoge is in, why not!! 30 mins doesnt seem that daunting(will probably only last two days after saying that).

    Yes. Starts today until 2nd Dec. Giving us 5 weeks of the 6 week lockdown. We've missed the first week.
    Many have probably been running every day of late, however I thought it would better to go from now so as to encourage anyone who wants to try it,

    Fair play mcdonrob, anything to distract from Covid bull**** is welcome.

    If the Tri forum version is anything to go by, you'll have well-intentioned people along suggesting improvements, or that its too hard/too easy etc... keep it simple for the simple folk like me;)

    Its a lot harder to complete this streak than it looks from behind a keyboard, and a great way to get through these dark evenings for those that do it. Best of luck to all!
