Futureproofing new build for Siro/Fibre Broadband

Refurbishing a terraced house, and will be installing Virgin media broadband initially as Siro is not available in our area. The whole house will be wired with CAT 6 cables going to a switch in a network cupboard.
The network cupboard is towards the back of the house, so it would be a pain to run any additional cables back there.
Is there anything I can do now to ensure that if I get Siro in the future that it can be installed with a minimum of fuss? I'm thinking running some kind of fibre cable from the network cupboard to the front of the house so that it could be plugged into that?

Make sure there is a cat6 going from that cupboard to a location close to the meter box where they'll install Siro, assuming it's an underground install.

Does Siro not use Fibre to the modem? And that's the electrical meter box?

No, well kind of. They run fibre to the ont which does the modem work, a router is then connected to the other side of the ont via cat 5e or 6 cable. You can run a length of cat 6 to where you think the ont and router are going to be.

The router doesnt have to be with the ONT. Put the ONT near the meter, its fairly small and neat, then place the router in your comms cab with a CAT6 link between them. A small wall socket near where the ONT and a discreet patch is all thats needed.

IMO run at least two lengths of cable now as a fault/damage would impact your entire connection and not just one client device.
