Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Replacement Sky Q Box not working

    My Sky Q box stopped working properly last week, it would just freeze and turn green after being on for about 20 minutes. Called Sky and they arranged to send a replacement box.

    That arrived today. Instructions seemed simple enough, plug out the old one and plug in the new one. I put the viewing card in, screwed the two satellite cables in, and powered it on. It lights up but there's no video or sound. I've tried swapping the two satellite cables around as the instructions don't say if that matters, but hasn't made any difference. I've confirmed the HDMI displays fine when plugging it into another source.

    When I turn it on, the power light is red for a while, the Q glows blue, then after a minute or so the power light turns yellow and I can turn it on with the remote and it goes green, but nothing happens. The TV goes from a sort of completely off black to a lit up black, like it knows it has input now, but there's no display or sound.

    A couple of times, by randomly pressing buttons, pressing the Q on the box made picture and sound appear, it was running a video showing information about the remote with a voiceover, but that lasted about 3 seconds then it went again. I haven't managed to get it to appear again after trying for a while.

    Am I doing something wrong or is it just busted? Don't really want to get them to send out a third box :(
