A few weeks on the PUP will soften their cough. Sickening how these people use a pandemic to squeeze money out of us.

    That's life in a democracy

    It's about 3/10 on a newsworthy scale.

Always the way with the unions, treat the frontline nurses and doctors like sh*t and put them on the picket line to defend consultants and middle management on fat paycheques

so you support 6000 doctors going on strike in December during a pandemic?Because that is what they are using as a gun to our collective heads!

So it’s not about being made consultants it’s about getting the pay of a consultant....... I dunno I think many people in private sector jobs got no pay rises this year, and whilst these doctors may have a case, seeking pay rises now seems very mercenary.

you do know the doctors and nurses have to vote before any industrial action can happen, right?
so if they do end up out on the picket lines, it will be because of their vote and their choice.
if you think some how the unions are forcing people out on to picket lines then you need to do your research as you are incorrect.

ticking a box on a form does not make you of a religion.

I don't know the details here, but aren't consultants, specialists, with better qualifications/experience that puts them above that of normal doctors?

We live in a capitalist society. Those with the best education, skills, experience, get paid more.. no? Also would these consultants be considered foreign talent, checking boxes or areas that might be weak/missing within our domestic service?

These are questions btw. Not trying to lead anyone to a conclusion.
