Do you not think their prep had been disrupted? Teams normally plan to 'peak' at certain times of the season.

Covid19 shattered that and also gave the Dubs a must needed rest. They were very leggy at tail end last season. 5 years non stop league and championship.

Cavan showed plenty of ambition yesterday.
They set themself up with the best chance to win.

In the end they were nowhere close to Dublin, butd their chances of winning would not have improved from going for an overly aggressive approach and looking for goals, quite the contrary.

Mayo have been clinical, obviously. I think that our setup has been so bad that it would be difficult to take too much from this from a Mayo point of view. It happened again and again and its something you rarely see at intercounty level these days, players are supposed to be much smarter than this.

You regularly see it from Division 3 and Division 4 teams, you rarely see it from Division 1 teams.

Not from a set play - ball has to be in the square before a player can come in.

No hope of it being abandoned, the fog won't be nearly as bad at ground level. TV cameras are deceptive.
