If I was a Mayo fan i'd be worried. This is not good prep for a final.

This is what happens in knockout provincials. A couple of turds like Cavan and Tipp get to a AI semi-final when they'd have been flushed away in the qualifiers at this stage.

    Steady on

It's true. I'd stretch to joint 3rd with Limerick if you like since they got knocked out in the same round.

Gas thing is. I honestly think only for Covid 19 Kerry had Sam won.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

This will be embarrassing for Tipp.

The future tense is not necessary.

Fair few steps there before the goal chance.

    Farce

    Kerry must be kicking themselves

Wonder what the fog is like at pitch level

If you had read my post about it you would have seen my response about it

I did and you said it wasn't a goal.

Aiden O'Shea gets some rough treatment

    See below re Ballymun

    https://www.sportsjoe.ie/gaa/ballymuns-struggles-show-county-players-doesnt-always-translate-club-success-206583

Also they were knocked out by Na Fianna last year two weeks after AI final and 5 in a row.

If you watch the game you can see how leggy Ballymun was.

The intercounty season restarts in January. You’re posting articles about how players were leggy two weeks after the AI final in the September before. Pardon me if I see that as irrelevant, particularly given the strength in depth Dublin have.

Nobody turned up that day either

At least Dublin technical team won't be able to analyze this game, unless there currently watching it pitchside.

Any other channels with a better lower view

They have nothing to kick about. They couldn't put away a terrible Cork team. Enough said.

Closed fist into the face ignored. Big players get nothing

Most interesting thing about this is to see what the fog does.

Pity you checked the wrong post.

I said it was marginal - which it was

Mayo are putting their best ever performance in CP and you bring Dublin into it. Wow just wow.

Provincial system is silly but for some reason people want to persist with it.

What you say is harsh but true.
If a A championship was based on the league (after a home and away) 7 top teams div 1 and 8th play off with winner div 2 entering AI QF.

Open draw then and exciting games. Much fairer and would be much more fairer and enjoyable if div 2 and 3 and 4 had their own AI's.

But since when has the GAA made sense?

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Nah, they're still too defensively light. Couldnt put 14 men away last year and were well beaten in the replay. I actually think Mayo with their defensive qualities will be best placed to go at the Dubs again in future years. Think this year will be a year too early though and very much dublins to lose.

    Clear goal not marginal.

    Fine margins.

Take away Cillian O'Connor and Tipp would be up by a point

Dublin surely underdogs after this. 😀

I stand by the comments about Mayo, the results over the last 2 years have shown that. They were beaten by double figures last year by Dublin and Kerry and will be again by Dublin.

Unfortunately you cant legislate for tactical suicide, Mayo the better team obviously but Tipperary would have been beaten by anybody with the tactical approach they had in the first half.

That mayo team last yearwere wrecked by the time the semi final came around. They had played nearly every week for the 6 weeks beforehand. The panel was alot older that this year and although the sideline made errors at start of 2nd half, we were never going to beat Dublin. Maybe we won't beat them this time either but we're in a much stronger position imo.

    Such a stupid comment.

Did someone cut your sense of humour ? :P

    Oops sorry.

A lot of goal chances for Tipp

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,969 ✭✭✭✭Mantis Toboggan

We'll just have to lick our wounds and enjoy being munster champions.

Best of luck to Mayo in the final, if ye can tighten up that full back line ye'll have an outside chance.
