If I was a Mayo fan i'd be worried. This is not good prep for a final.

    Dublin will be laughing.

You rarely see sides scoring multiple goals in back-to-back games in the championship [Meath this year being a notable exception]There's a long history of teams winning facile semi-finals going on to have underpar finals.

Tipp have conceded 3 absolutely horrendous goals but beyond that their defending has been absolutely cat - countless errors, cheap frees, slack marking.

Tipp have struggled to get into Mayo's half of the field but every time they have they have nearly created goal chances.

I'd have Dublin's handicap close enough to the double-digit mark.

Mayo are putting their best ever performance in CP and you bring Dublin into it. Wow just wow.

    :D

Look similar to another of Mayo's glory days

    Connacht final 2013

    Mayo 5-11 London 0-10 (Margin 16)

    --
    --

Dublin had a job analysing that one as well?

    --

Margin 17 today as at 55min

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

You'd have to think that the Dubs will go to town on that full back line.

    Fine margins.

Take away Cillian O'Connor and Tipp would be up by a point

A lot of goal chances for Tipp

It probably should be 5-17 to 4-09 at this stage... a couple of the Tipp chances were handy enough.

We'll just have to lick our wounds and enjoy being munster champions.

Best of luck to Mayo in the final, if ye can tighten up that full back line ye'll have an outside chance.

Yeah Munster was way behind our best expectations given the league campaign we had. A drubbing today and the lads will be disappointed not to give a better account of themselves in croke park but ultimately it’s been a successful year.

Mayo's first wide of the game after 58 minutes.

    What fog?

Very disappointing from Tipp because in fairness they are better than what they've shown today but Mayo have been very clinical

Need to practice some new defending tactics for the rest of the game. Going to conceed a record amount of goals if we are this open.

First wide for mayo in the 59th minute!!

Are they? They were bang average in Division 3 and beat a rubbish Cork team in the Munster final.

Is it possible that Dublin could have one match this year?

Probably good that Dublin didn't play Tipperary in the semi final this year. It could have been ridiculous numbers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,758 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

The difference is you are watching two amateur teams today. Big difference playing against an experienced professional squad.

You are persistent, if not more than economical with the truth. I will give you that!

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

    Another goal chance for Tipp.

Dublin will tear that back line apart.

Oh - sheen - Ger Canning

It would have been nice if we could have taken more of the 400 goal chances we have had.

Dublin wont sqaunder those goal chances!

I would say 7-8 ish. But Mayo have goals in them in fairness.

    No goal against Galway.
    1 Against Roscommon.
    2 Against Leitrim.

8 goals in 7 league games for Mayo

I would have said Mayo would need at least 2 goals to have a chance against Dublin but you look at how many goal chances Dublin have allowed across the league and championship and it looks like long shot territory to me.

[I wouldn't be surprised if Tipperary have had more goal chances in this game than Dublin have conceded in their 4 championship games]

People are saying this but they weren't clinical at all against Cavan last night. Could have easily put 3 or 4 past them

Munster football is dead. Something must be done and so on and so forth.

A psis poor Tipp have got through Mayo's defence easily enough on many occasions. They just couldnt finish it and actually make a game of it.
