Wasn't it Tommy Walsh under it?
    Very poor from him.

Not sure, I kinda hope it was!

Absolutely delighted for the Cork footballers. To have such an exciting game behind closed doors on a wet and dreary Sunday evening during all this Covid crap, has cheered me up no end. Thank you to both teams.

    Ah I'd just be apoplectic.

Did not see that result coming after that first half of ET.

Ah look. My thoughts on this winter championship are well documented. I'm not a fan but I would like to go back to knock out.

It was Tommy yeah. No wonder he didnt make it in the AFL. Didnt do much good on the AFL man there.

One of the most frustrating matches I've ever seen Kerry play. Awful decision making, awful wides, very poor free kicking. Tommy Walsh would want to retire and I dunno what's up with Moran. A minute left and he kicks it straight to their keeper.

Was one of the most brainless Kerry performances if all time

Well back to watching Dublin dismantle teams in impressive style. At least I wont have the heartbreak of last September. Silver linings and all.

Congrats to cork, that's their all Ireland and fair play to em.

Nice to see how much it meant to the Cork lads at the end.

There has been others but with the safety net of the backdoor. Should have been more ruthless.

A wake up call for others, if needed.

They better hope that Claire Byrne and Philip Boucher Hayes weren't watching :)

This means so much to us in Cork, we’ve had a rough few years

Bit like the first match against Dublin, they were so afraid of losing today against Cork. Cork deserved it but Kerry's mental game needs a lot of work

Just finish the fcukinh job now and win Munster at least. Chance to make an All Ireland final is there too.

It really does. We are a very sporting county. We are a hurling county. But there is a very strong cohort of football fans in Cork. For years we travel and take over Killarney and suffer at the hands of our near neighbours.
But not today. Today will be relived over and over because Cork didn't just beat Kerry, we knocked them out!

Must be a first were the kerry hurlers have gone further than their footballers.

Been years since I looked forward to TSG so much. Missed the liverpool game, couldn't turn off the Cork match. While it was close, I felt we always had a chance. If you are going to score a late goal, make it very very late.

If that's not an advertisement for knock out championship, I dont know what is. Pretty much no chance of going back to it unfortunately.

Fair play rebels. Congrats. The sweetest win of all :)

Hopefully it’ll open their eyes to bringing back proper quarter finals though. Latter stages at least should be proper knockout.

yeah, I think teams should get a second chance given the effort going into it but the super 8's is some load of crap

Ah it really was. Powter was nearly in tears in the MOM interview (great to see a lad that has been excellent for Cork for a lot of years get MOM).

As a Tipp man, I know it can be a bit of a tough lonely road to be footballers in a hurling county and especially for Cork with their footballing history, it has been a tough decade for them. I love to see those brave, courageous hard working displays like that.

Its all the more commendable to do it without a crowd to drive them on and also its unusual to see an underdog win in extra time. They were like a terrier that had grip of an arm and clung on all day long and got the slice of luck their hard work deserved at the end.
