Never got the credit they deserve for it either.

You were credited by being put into Leinster and playing against Cody's Kilkenny.

Word coming from RTE that there was a huge drop in viewers of their tv channels around the Meath area of the country at approx 19.15 this evening.

Dublin are good but **** me Leinster football is an embarressment.

The mental weakness of Kildare and Meath being shown up this evening.

    Both teams soft as ****.
Dublin have lost 2 championship games in 10 years.

Dublin would be working much harder in training compared to this shambles, no fault of theirs, Meath are atrocious.

Any chance that they will allow Dublin to field several teams. I don't mean splitting the county but having Dublin B, C, D etc. At least there'd be a few better games to watch.

Drop in viewers and rise in number of cans and wine bottles being opened.

    I hope that wasn't considered a reward!

They haven't had a competitive game in Leinster since 2013. They've only lost one championship game since.

Yes but they had a good league behind them. This year they had a lack lustre game against Galway that they came through but that's about it since lockdown began.

Scary to think that realistically they are in the 7th-10th best team in the country bracket.

Possibly the most annoying commentator across all sports.

Dublin only beat Meath by 4 in the league last month.

Just shows you that the League can't be used to judge how a team will perform in championship.

16 points at half time. The scary thing is Meath were in Division One this year so, regardless of Dublin being outstanding, this shows the gulf yet again (like Donegal Armagh last week) between the top 5/6 teams and those even leading the chasing pack.

    No Mannion or Howard either.:(

TBF I was expecting a lot more from Meath.

    Meath are an embarrassment.

Meath were a division 1 team this year.

Dublin also beat Westmeath, (a division 2 team) by 11, and they beat another Division 2 team in Laois, by 22 points.

Last year they beat Mayo by 10 in the Semi Final who were League Champions. They beat Roscommon who were Connacht Champions by 18!

This beating isn't exclusive to Meath. This is how far clear Dublin are of everybody else, and how far clear they have been for close to a decade with no signs of it stopping.

A result such as this will cause people to question the fairness of the whole thing again, but the usual suspects will shortly be along to tell us that it's everybody elses fault for not being as good as Dublin, or that it goes in waves - although no acceptance that Dublins is the longest and most devastating we have ever seen with 0 signs of stopping.

From commerating a massacre before the game, to bemoaning another sporting massacre in Leinster at half-time.

    The Province is dead.

To be fair to Meath, they have been utterly useless.

    Dreadful viewing.

The All Ireland football Championship is a sham. Dublin regularly beat teams by double figures outside of Leinster too.

How aren't the GAA embarrassed to put their name to this?

Horan will be glad he's going. Another loss like this will reignite the debate. Everyone will pin their hopes on Donegal or Mayo but I can't see either team beating Dublin. He'll pass the problem onto next president.

I agree. But it also shows that the idea that an uncompetitive Leinster championship is a disadvantage to Dublin is not true given that they've won 6 out of 7 championships since they were last challenged in the province.

The “Slaughter of the Innocents” here tonight.
Dublin would beat a team of the rest of Ireland in this mood.
