Are Paddy C and MOT buddies?
both seem to be annoying loudmouths who both have extremely inflated egos...

I get the impression that Cosgrave, Varadkar and O'Tuathail are all birds of a fantastically fabulous feather.

So [1] what benefit did the NAGP derive from possession of the contract ?
[2] what benefit even if not direct did Varadkar derive from the leak.

Surely the Taoiseach doesn't need to show off?

He was a fast worker but the quality was so so. Nothing needed to last longer than about 4 hours.

Pretty significant story brewing on twitter re a lad FG are fond of. This is going to be a big one. Let's just say Leo's comment about suing someone off Twitter is gonna make him look real foolish.

It wasn't possession of the agreement (which they would have got anyway in due course) as much when they got their grubby little paws on it that matters here.

It would have helped to validate MO'T's claims that the NAGP was a serious rival to the IMO - and that he had an inside track to LV. It also probably enabled them to indulge in a bout of one-upmanship over the IMO.

As for Varadkar - bearing in mind that his government had been and was being heavily criticised by the NAGP and that many of his TDs had being lobbied by NAGP members for negotiating rights, I suspect that it was done partly as a favour to a pal and partly as an inducement to MO'T/the NAGP to ease off on the public criticism for a bit.

She fairly stuck the knife into SF. I'll admit this may backfire on SF in the short-term. It will depend on the highlights reel.
What they want is ammunition for the next election to combat some of the stuff FFG throw at them.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Coveney is always coached in what to say. He is very like Enda in that regard.

She had the knife out all right but did not address the subject at hand.

The fact that the Clifden elite party is back in the news will not help the FFG cause here. It's the top story on the news again.

Election campaign shows us that has little to no resonance with voters.

Mary Lou keeping the core issue front and centre here.

Vicious and quite disgusting contribution from Heather Humphries, I think she's forgotten how many actually voted for SF

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.

She just stopped short of calling anyone who goes against Varadkar "a deplorable."

True. She is not swaying those voters, she is making them more loyal to Mary Lou and Co. That's 535,595 voters.
I would imagine she was instructed to go in hard on the history. It's the default tactic for all FFG loyalists.

Leo is squirming in that chair, he's not used to this.

    I've zero sympathy.

I think Mary Lou wins the quotable quote so far::

Leo Varadkar has asked for a fool's pardon - but Deputy Varadkar is no fool.

She's actually done more damage I think, really quite shocking
