Of more concern is the rubbish that passes for journalism these days. Our tánaiste is the subject of a criminal investigation and idiots like Ryan engage in whataboutism and deflection . It's shameful.

The nonsense being spouted on this thread is incredibly depressing. People should be angry and people should be curious and that curiosity should not be satisfied until there is a reasonable answer for our tánaiste leaking government documents. We're quickly descending into tribal politics in this country and that is incredibly dangerous. Everybody should be accountable. Everybody.

It was the same with golfgate. There we had a flagrant breach of the separation of powers, along with covid restrictions, and pockets of the public and media were telling us to get over it.

You only need to have a quick look to see the way things are going globally, Britain has descended into a despotic ****hole and Australia is right behind them. The less said about the US the better and as for Eastern Europe... That's what happens when politics descends into pathetic point scoring and tribalism. People need to stop treating political parties like football teams. Don't excuse poor behaviour just because "your side" is under attack. Demand accountability.

Oh, so anything negative about SF is a 'non-story', even though the DPC is investigating the Abu database and SF has taken the DB offline because it breached GDPR.... that non-story.....?

That line may get great traction on Social Media where loads of angry people vent but here on boards.ie you will get called out on it.

Look, it's really dumpster quality, but I think it's genuinely unfair to criticize it as it is showing a bit of originality and effort, it's not just saying the same thing over and over again in order to avoid answering questions.

Are you going to demand accountability from other political parties or just FG?
Because its a nice idea and all, but unless you are even-handed with your critiques then its pointless.

O'Toole was interviewed on April 5th. Varadkar was interviewed on April 9th. The story about them being interviewed was published on April 18th. Between April 9th and April 18th, Varadkar's hagiographer was banging the drum about SF's electoral register database.

It's worth noting the Sindo journalist who wrote the Leo interview story was also one of the journalists that broke the story that Leo was moving home because of death threats.

Turning around and 'blaming de people' just because you don't want to take responsibility is not good enough.
