St Basil's is iconic, but there's not a huge amount inside it.

The Hermitage, by contrast, is staggering inside in terms of all the different rooms and the history and the stories of wealth. Gets my vote.

It's a lake - a big one, a very very deep one - but it's just a lake...... that's an incredible photo though!

It's a very very clear lake too. If you stand on it, the ice is so clear that it plays tricks with your mind. It's actually unnerving.

By and large you're right - it is a lake. But it does that that going for it in fairness, and I think the photo shows up the clearness of the water/ice well.

I was surprised not to see The Kremlin listed, that's the first thing that springs to mind for me - although it's a fairly boring "building" in reality - St. Basil's is what makes the square really.

I love the Sagrada Familia, but Ronda blew my mind when I saw it (on telly admittedly) earlier this year for the first time. It looks spectacular, with a 15th-century old town to boot.

Has to be the Sagrada Familia for me - all stuff Gaudi is bonkers (brilliantly bonkers), but that's on another scale entirely - no pictures I've ever seen do it justice!

Mind you, that Ronda (the town? the bridge?) is fairly amazing looking......

But I'll stick with the S.F., just because I've been there and....it's amazing. And it's by Gaudi.

Sagrada Familia - a lot of churches around Europe are just yet one more big old church, but Sagrada Familia is genuinely impressive and distinctive.
