Carrying on along this tangent, have you seen the one they're building in LA?
    Edit: built. Opened in September

I'm not sure OT would be the top top stadium in the UK by any means even.

Spurs new stadium would blow everything out of the water if you took the tribalism out of it... imo.

Agreed, it's incredible. Only the Millennium could compete, I think

Sounds pretty crappy to me. UCD Bowl wins. What's to vote on?

Though I guess there's merit in a tournament on the second best sports ground alright. I'd nominate the Krasnodar ground.

The Hollywood sign is a real disappointment; you can barely see it from town and you can't go up to it.

The Golden Gate Bridge is kinda cool, and it's also kinda just a bridge.

I'm struggling to find much love for any of these, but I think Times Square is the most iconic, so I'll vote for that.

    Yep, agreed.

    Alcatraz

I'm dying to go and see it!

    The Golden Gate Bridge

I watched Star Trek Discovery yesterday and the bridge is still standing in the 32nd century, there's a reason it was preserved all that time, it's awesome. And you can cycle over it. And I went whale watching just beyond it and saw humpback whales breaching with the bridge in the background. It's so cool!

Of the ones I have been to see (haven't been to San Francisco).

The White House is surprisingly small
The Hollywood sign is just a sign
Capitol Hill isn't on a hill
Times Square is a human traffic jam

The Ground Zero memorial however is poignant and iconic. So I vote for that.

Alcatraz for me - amazing location for a prison, it's been brilliantly preserved and makes a great and really interesting tour, been the star of so many films, and it's iconic.

I've been to the California landmarks, but I think they're better anyway. Alcatraz is a fascinating visit, but I'll vote Golden Gate Bridge. The colour, the size and the scenic north end combine to make it one if the more picturesque in the world

Times Square is up there with the Mannekin Pis for let downs in my book!

The best thing about Times Square is that it's a useful place to change subway trains. Thankfully you can usually do that without having to go up to ground level.

Tie breaker is handy here. The following are very tenuous but cancel each other out.

    However, there was no reason at all given here;

Ah feck, I thought Alcatraz was in with a shout!

GGB a very acceptable substitute though.
