    Leaning Tower of Pisa

Leaning tower of Pisa for me.

Yes, to that poster who asked, you can go into it, and it's a mad experience! The stairs go around the inside of the walls, so half are horizontal and half are nearly vertical, it's like being on one of those wobbly fairground games. And there's a great view from the top.

Pripyat would be a very interesting, if grim, experience though......

Heidi's vote came in just after the expiration and hands Chernobyl the win. A big fall there in the form of Italy. Hold tight for more European warfare.

That stairs sounds great and should get more attention as from the outside it looks like a boring monument to cowboy builders

    Sagrada Familia

Cool as hell and much better than the statue imo

Pripyat. Its eerie ghost town quality and history must make for an intriguing visit. a landmark for all the wrong reasons.

    Sagrada Familia.

Great thing about it is the next time you go, they'll have built some more of it. Not scheduled to be finished until 2026

Two unique very different landmarks, think I nominated both....

Tough one, I always loved Sagrada familia, so I'll have to go with that.....even though I hate the communist statues being put out!

    It's not just a statue!
It's a whole park full of different statues that were taken out of public life after the fall of communism.

    Sagrada Familia
It was amazing when i visited it a few years ago, hope to see it again once it's finally completed

Possibly have missed the cutoff but Sagrada Familia is my pick also.

    Milford Sound

    It looks very peaceful

    Milford Sound (New Zealand)

I think there are better temples and indeed Pyramids still in the contest which is going to count against Mexico's edition for me.

    Milford Sound is gorgeous tbf.

I would have to go for Milford Sound as well, very scenic.

    Matterhorn (Switzerland)

What's not to love about snow, mountains and calm water?

Although Easter Island is a good nom and I would probably choose it if it was against something else.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 7,245 Mod ✭✭✭✭cdeb

I think Easter Island for me.

Matterhorn is spectacular, but it's just a mountain.

The maoi are unique and mystifying and iconic. Worth the vote here

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 51,532 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

    Yeah.

    Easter Island Maoi (Chile)

Those faces are kind of iconic tbf.
