Our Lady of the Rocks for me. Church on an incredible setting on an island beats windswept road.

Lady of the Rocks - took me ages to come up with that decision . The church is cute. Although I'm a bit confused as to why a church would be built in the middle of a lake or where ever it is..

Two castles makes this a straightforward one - I don't need to worry about whether an iconic building beats a waterfall or whether an old town even is a landmark.

    Neuschwanstein Castle is the nicer.

I think it's the first time I've actually voted for it, but Schloss Neuschwanstein gets my vote here.

Disney, castle, set in the mountains, in Bavaria (where a little bit of my heart still resides 30 years later), and it's just gorgeous.

Neuschwanstein Castle - its a bit "Where Eagles Dare"

Neuschwanstein Castle please. The Disney-like and tranquil surroundings sway it for me.

Both excellent but Neuschwanstein is the ultimate fairytale castle and gets the vote

Right folks, only one spot remaining in Round 3. Are we read to make a decision?

    This one's straightforward - Dynjandi.

Majestic waterfall - that photo barely captures its size, and there's seven in total all the way down.

The Hill of Crosses is a nice novelty by contrast, but its time in the competition is surely up.

Have to go for the wild rugged beauty of Dynjandi (Iceland)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,037 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

We've had a lot of similar but better scenery than Dynjandi go through already. Hill of Crosses offers something different and unusual.

So it's Hill of Crosses for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,504 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Oh the waterfall has to win here for me!

Beautiful natural feature -vs- the rather grim (if interesting) hill of crosses (shudder)

    No contest for me!

    Dynjandi fine waterfall

The cross thing needs to bow out.

Dynjandi - I've voted for the Crosses more than once, but I think I wasnt around for the Iceland round so I'm going for it now. I think its beautiful, & I could see myself attempting to climb it
